yep it is intented. They are utterly busted with no way whatsoever to balance them and that was the easiest way of getting rid of them

I dont know if it's intended, but since they are recruitable I guess they should really be..? Checking your tables I've found that every grand battery has a "0" cap, therefore making it impossible to recruit. Just pointing it out if you want to fix it :) (in original mod it's a cap of 3)

I hope the screenshot explains what i mean. Is it intented that i can recruit cultist in tier 5 even though i already unlocked them automatically with tier 1? Even the Describtion of the Tier 5 Building says: You are can recruit cultist? I play on german.

What do mean? If you are saying that you can still recruit cultists from T5 of the main horde chain then of course that intended, as is the case for every recruitment building.

Is it normal that i can recruit cultist in the horde main building at tier 1 and again recruit the same units at the same building at tier 5? Does look very strange to me.

also regular chaos warriors destroy this mod chaos gods specific chaos warriors for less price. The only thing this mod has for the warriors is a couple special bonuses and 1500 more hp, every other stats is less. 1v1 regular warriors loose not even 10 men

Also if still play Warhammer 2 can you remove UC demons or rename them for example Rename Plaguebearers of UC as Bile Trolls and other Demons as Exalted for example UC Bloodletter will be Exalted Bloodletter etc.

Yes, SFO cultists benefit from any UC cultist buff

I will not make army caps as it is a *lot* of work for a small thing (they are script based), and I don't have the time to do that.

@Serulin god based warriors are initially weaker, but benefit from techs that normal chaos warriors don't while still benefiting from base CW upgrades. I don't exactly have the motivation to look at rebalancing the units again either, what with WH3 being out.
@Dyne Enigma I disabled them as they were horribly unbalanced, especially as they were added for each base game faction and ai could use them. Lots of people did not like them either.

Sorry I know most are probably playing 3 at the moment. I decided to wait for bug fixes to swap over and play some SFO2 in the meantime. I have a question on balance of the warriors of each of the gods. In the original mod, they were all slightly better than your basic chaos warrior, which is odd given that they are Tier 4 and do not have the same upkeep reduction and other benefits of the base chaos warriors. With SFO2 and this compatibility mod, the god based warriors seem worse than the original or on par with them and again are tier 4. I am just kind of confused. Are all the units in the mod actually really weak like this or do the higher tiers have something to offer. The slaanish horses also seem weaker than the tier 3 horses which are again a tier lower than the building.

I can't get the game to launch. I am using:

SFO
Ultimate Chaos
Ultimate Chaos SFO
Ultimate Chaos required mods (models, etc. as stated on the modpage)

Since it is working fine for others I am doing something wrong, any ideas?

It's a base UC issue I am afraid. They have a broken script in there which hasn't been removed for whatever reason and that causes the norsca allegiance thing to not work. Not anything I can do about it. I have already reported it but they didn't do anything.
I just wouldn't use UC unless you are playing chaos. Disable it otherwise.

I was hunting for why Norsca Allegiance to the Gods mechanic was not working and it seems to be a Ultimate Chaos issue. I'm using SFO with the SFO submod of Ultimate chaos. Is there any possible fix coming up? Currently when u raze a settlement for any god u do not gain favour.

Also I recently updated the mod with some general fixes.


And yes you should now be able to get all four lords from those tech trees. A cost of 1K devotion is needed to unlock each tree.

They shouldn't be recruitable at all in the main building chain. You get them from chaos fortresses. I'll remove them from that building when I get around to it.

Is it intentional for when you upgrade from Nomadic Camp to Tribal gathering you lose the ability to recruit cultist spear/macemen?

It's just sort of odd, and I wanted to recruit more of them.

go to main_units table in this submod, select the arty battery file, and set the campaign cap from 0 to whatever value you want. You will have to redo this any time there is an update to this submod.

not those buildings, the other ones. Where you get the god specific chaos warriors. As for the management thing, I have no idea really. I certainly haven't removed anything. Those daemons you mentioned aren't lords.

edit: indeed the cap increases aren't in the building card, so i'm wondering if all is working as intended. Are they meant to be mentioned in the building cards? Mine onl;y says + to Khorn Berserkers (SFO Unit)

Ah, I didn't spot the cap increases in the god specific building chain - thanks for that and sorry for not seeing it!

I think being able to research all the god's factions would be a nice change, especially for those that choose to go Undivided. From memory it would take over 100 turns to research them all, so it would definitely be a late game goal!

Some additional questions from me. the Ultimate Chaos page talks about being able to put lords / deamons into 'management' positions like the empire can do.... but i can't find out how on earth to do this? Was it removed in this sub-mod?

Also, even without the Chaos God Favour research, I assume you can recruit non exalted chaos god Lords (i.e. Great Unclean One, Keeper of Secrets, Bloodthirster of Khorn etc) but likewise, can't see these in the building chains anywhere. I can only see the Hero Varients.

How does one recruit such a Lord e.g. a Great Unclean One to lead their armies?

Batteries are indeed intentional, and the unit caps for the hellcannon variants are gained through the relevant god unit building chain (the one you get the god specific units from). As for the techs, you are only supposed to gain one. Due to various reasons which I cannot control the UI is weird on those. No DD is used, but it shows one anyway (it's a hidden resource that is actually used and you only have 1 of).

On further inspection, there seems to be lots of issues where SFO and Ultimate Chaos haven't merged nicely.. one example being how the Hellcannon varients (Slanesh Please Cannon, Nurgle Plague Cannons etc) have a unit cap requirement, but the building chain that allows their construction doesn't actually ADD to the cap that you've enforced, making them impossible to recruit.

Also for clarity, I'm *not* talking about the batteries (which seem to still be in the game but likewise, are impossible to recruit via the same limitation... I assume this is intentional at least)

Hey! Like Archmagos below, I'm wondering if you are only supposed to be able to pick one of the 4 chaos Favour research Trees with your (1?) Dark Devotion?

SFO obviously also has Dark Devotion (DD) which it uses for it's own mechanic.. but the DD required in this mod's Tech Tree seems different, as it doesn't recognise the SFO DD that I have accrued.

Is this a bug? It would be nice to have the option to be truly undivided and gain all 4 unique lords for each God! :)

Love the variety this brings to the chaos invasion - somehow though Dragon Ogres have 49k hitpoints! Compared to a shaggoths 11k...is this a bug, and does anyone know how to fix it?

Maybe it's because of the change of building sequence. After building the corresponding building, I still can't recruit this legendary Lord. I hope there can be a patch. Thank you very much
