@Maufla little tip: boats are too slow and passengers inside Chicago do not count, just build 1 or 2 train lines to the handful of nearest towns and they should bring in the passengers just in time even when the lines are built after the mission becomes available

Can you post the map for the mission by itself?

Of course I do. It used to work, but then it got broken after a game update.

13:43 during video in the slider above.....Priceless!
We don't have electric trams available until 1893...good luck carrying 100 passengers by 1886 if you can't even buy the trolley needed. Does Mats even play his own campaigns? Really how do you miss this? This epic campaign mission is a failure right from 1886.

@维萨卡 Thank you so much!!
I can purchase!!!

@维萨卡: Thanks for figuring it out. I fixed it. :)

@Dubu_is_Maltepoo I had the same issue. I tried to fix it myself and found it is because the message box is too small to show the buy button. It should be located one blank line from the text and is outside of the box.
To fix it, you should go to your steam folder, under steam/steamapps/workshop/content/1066780/2457078048/res/config/game_script/states.lua, change line 95 from "size3.h = 350" to "size3.h=400" and line 98 from "size4.h=350" to "size4.h=400", then when you have enough money in the game you will be able to buy them.
@Mats Hi author I do not know why the gui is unproper.

Could you release the map by itself for free play?
no one 3 Apr, 2022 @ 2:03am
Thank you. I found it. It's not very conspicuous. The purchase options are at the bottom of the dialog box

Click on the exclamation mark above the city hall of the capital of that particular state.

I can't find the option to buy the concession. It's a bug?
Jarvis 17 Mar, 2022 @ 9:33am
how may I get the concession of states?

It was way too difficult for me to accomplish the Chicago passenger task. Anyone has any clue what could be the logic for passenger number increase? I tried connect all towns in Illinois with railways but upon 100+ passengers arrived in Chicago, only few were counted into the task.

Lua exception on launch citing this mod: https://imgur.com/y6WgeOx . I believe I'm also getting the same error for each one of the missions in the campaign (didn't confirm for all of them, but I still got the same error with another workshop ID after removing this one), so I had to remove all of them (at which point the game launched normally). Obviously many players are able to play this campaign just fine, so I'm not sure why it does this for me.

UPDATE: I've added English voice overs to the mission. Enjoy :)

@Ahoy: You can set up a supply chain by partially using their network. For example, you can connect a cotton plantation to river port A with a truck line and connect a textile factory to river port B with another truck line. Your truck line will then carry the cotton from the plantation to port A, the AI ships will carry it from port A to port B, and your trucks carry it from port B to the textile factory.

A dumb question. How do I cooperate or compete with those companies? How do I use their railroads? I can't demolish those buildings.
