I, the commissioner, have asked the author about having it continued by someone else, and he has said yes, I've asked Mlie and his group to continue it, here's hoping...

This mod does not work at all, when colonists shoot they instantly are despawned. Or when you tell them to reload, they will be despawned. Using only vanilla guns

I do hope you'll continue this mod as it is the only one of it's kind on the workshop right now.
All the tactical flexibility of CE mags with none of min-maxing logistical nightmares.

I can't answer any of the questions, I do not currently have any capable computer. My work station was... lost... and the currently used laptop is dying. And due to the circumstances (if you get what I mean) out of my control getting new hardware is complicated. I have no modding plans in the foreseeable future, sorry, although I'd quite like to return to it (and playing RimWorld).

With the cooldown being viewed as a reload function, could the cooldown be augmented by manipulation?

I've been testing the Beta of the 1.3 update, it's looking good, should be out soon from what I can tell

@JessieFeathers it... sort of... works with 1.3... a few guns don't work, and a few more fail to reload... but the patch is in progress (I'm in contact with the dev, as the one who comissioned the mod)

Yeap confirmed its this mod. I dont know what to do to fix it. All the combat rifles show that there is 0 ammo loaded. Great idea for a mod but it seems its not working properly now! Not having this issue with modded weapons or other weapons.

Well im using it now and it seems fine BUT for some reason none of my colonists can use their Combat Rifles. It says Hunter does not have a ranged weapon and when I draft those 2 guys they cant even attack anything with their combat rifles. All other colonists armed with other weapons are working fine except these two who are armed with combat rifles. This only happened after I added this mod. Any idea what the issue could be?

my experience is that it works just fine with run and gun, and that it's perfectly safe for mid-game adding

I'm working on updating my mods to the new version. It is safe to add and remove (with one time exceptions on removing), unless I guess you remove it when a pawn is in combat, then it's possible to get glitchy pawn state. It's compatible with "Run and Gun".

This is a great mod, is it safe to add mid game and is it compatible with Run and Gun yet?

Also if you are having a tough time, with your permission I can ask Mlie to update the mod (he may be able to fix some of the issues as well). Let me know and I hope things get better for you man!

Though, you could probably commission that from ZzZombo, a mod that makes pawns take longer but shoot more accurately at higher distances (and faster but less accurate) at low distances

Sky, I'm not sure what you mean? pawns shoot at distances the same way they shoot in vanilla...

This is exactly what i was looking for so long. In late game, when battles are huge, i can't just be bothered with micro-managing ammo, or dealing with weird ai behavior some mods come up with. Your mod might need some work still, but i already favorize your way.

Can you make pawns shoot more carefully on higher distances, rather than unloading the whole mag at once? Don't forget to add reload sounds too.

@Doven-NeeUse : well, as long as you have its own ammo features off, it just as might but I can't guarantee it, but I don't see them clash badly otherwise.
@CrackaJack: it doesn't add a dedicated animation. Instead it enters the vanilla ranged attack cooldown phase. This is intentionally as close to vanilla behavior as possible.

Tried to add this to one of my continued mods, Arrow Please https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2064675036
Added the comp and ammo-count to the repeating crossbow but after emptying the magazine nothing more happens.
Ammo-count is 0 forever, cannot target anything with it.
After the ammo is emptied it shows the cooldown-graphic for the defined time but after that nothing happens.
