Can/Could we get some Steam Workshop Add-On Mods that convert this shotgun into the Combat Shotguns from DOOM (2016) and DOOM Eternal, with Charged-Burst/Full-Auto and Explosive Shot/Sticky Bomb Attachment Add-On Mods? If so, then that would/will definitely be pretty damn cool as fuck.

im kinda suprised no one has made a semi auto reanimation for the stockless spas 12s as that would explain the secondary fire mode as just a semi auto double tap with alot of recoil since its a stockless magnum 12 gauge shotgun after all ...

Honestly, I have always preferred to think of the secondary fire mode for Half-Life's Franchi SPAS-12 Combat Shotgun (which is actually a dual-mode shotgun, adjustable from being manual pump-action to semi-automatic operation and fire mode, as a matter of fact) as just a very quick 2-round burst from only one barrel, breech, and muzzle with only one magazine tube, instead of firing 2 rounds from 2 separate barrels, breeches, and muzzles with no magazine tube.

@Kodabear They were supposed to have fixed the workshop not working, but I guess it's still broken. Well, here's what you can do then:

Go to

Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\362890\2459436803

and copy the 'shotgun_secondary_rapid.vpk' to

Steam\steamapps\common\Black Mesa\bms\custom

This way the game will load it from the directory instead of from the workshop. It should work this way.

@Desperado Source can be annoying sometimes. Try deleting all the soundcache files in

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Black Mesa\bms\

and the if there's one in a folder called "sound" delete that one too. Then next time you launch the game, type snd_restart in the console. This should (hopefully permanently) fix the issue.

@Teajai Maybe. The video looks normal on my computer, but the processed version on Youtube is dark. I think it's something partially on their end, I've seen people mention it before. I don't know how to fix it nor have I honestly tried since I'm just using these videos to showcase sound effects.

I believe the video is really dark because of the overdark glitch, I experience it too. If you use the command "mat_tonemapping_occlusion_use_stencil 1" you should be able to fix it.

@AlexGuy It is only a sound effect so it will work fine, it will not interfere with animations.

I can barely tell its a two shot burst, but I have seen Freeman's hands sorta look like he's onehanding it or...I think the mod is working. Its just so fast ^^;

The Half-Life SPAS-12 just seems like a two-in-one package to me, like it's a Doom's Combat and Super Shotguns in one weapon.
