mod no longer works... or its bad download i had..

there is no options to configure anything in the panel of the block provided by this mod..

its just a regluar lcd screen now.

this is on a dedicated server.

what this needs is a comparison of counters for each faction member =)

Really wanted to add this mod to my server. Reading your description you state in a few places that this can be added to a "server" and that its for detecting when "someone" gets injured. I feel the wording is a bit misleading and ambiguous. I'm sorry but having to go to your discord server to find out that this mod is ONLY for single player is too much. It would be nice if you could put something here in the descriptions to save time and energy.

For those who follow. This is a SINGLE player mod only. If you add it to a multiplayer server it will work until you go to place a panel. Then your server will crash.

Unless I am wrong and mine is just borked. Running a dedicated server.

Nope. There's no way to monitor injuries or damage in an area through a script.

Is there a script version of this so it can be included in vanilla BPs?
I try to avoid modded blocks as much as possible to ensure maximum BP compatibility in any server. This seems like it would be a fun script, but not worth adding as a modded block.

Suggestion: Could you configure the settings to only report when someone seeks medical treatment (this would line up better with our workman's comp/OSHA stats ) or possibly treat minor incidents (i.e. when the subject doesn't die/fall below some threshold) separately from life threatening ones?

I'm confused. The Details above says "If someone is injured" somewhat suggesting multiplayer, yet in the Bug Reporting Discord channel, you stated on 7/31/22 that it is written for single player ONLY. If that is the case, it would be really helpful to update the mod description above.

I love the concept and appreciate your work. I wish I could use it on multiplayer.

Blue64, I hear to you on the dedicated discussion, but I did that another far more popular mod, and I think all of two people used it. Oh well. :)

The Discord is more conducive to discussion and trouble shooting anyway.

First: Save As (to create a duplicate), then remove all mods but this one to verify this wasn't cross-compatibility. Second: you will want your Log file. Third: you will want to submit this using the Discord he linked labeled under "Bug Reports". Fourth: he should've used a pinned discussion named "Bug Reports".

hmm, just added mod, placed the panel on my ship --> Days without Incident 257543

I'm not sure I'm playing for that long already. Also dying doesn't change that high number at all. Pressing write to custom Data the panels text (Public title) AND custom data get filled. Contents:

DIAGNOSTICS
Time stamp: 16:58:47

Headers
0. Days without Incident
1. Days without Injuries
2. Days without Accidents

Any way to troubleshoot this for me? I got over 200 mods running in that save and would rather not go through all of them. :p2cube:

In a typical game, yes. But it uses a lot of complicated logic to calculate that zero. :)

Hi. I'm a fan of your mods.
In the same idea as this current mod, it would be nice to have a mod where damage to the grid would trigger a rotating warning light. It would be ideal for bunkers and attacked ships! What do you think? Thanks :)

@Epsilon Yeah that's a cool function. A lot of FPS games have that "{BigNewb} killed {NoobStomper} with a rocket to the head" kind of thing. It would be cool to do, but that would probably be a separate mod altogether. I'll add it to my list of things to make. :) Cool suggestion!

Btw, if you just want that function, and don't care if it's in an actual LCD block, I think there are a few mods on the workshop that do that.

Another suggestion - if possible, detect who (or what) caused the most recent incident. In other words, something like "<grid name/player> damaged by <grid name/player/cause>" - but maybe with some token replacement so the message could be customized. :)

Sounds like a "version 2" feature, though.

Suggestion: If the game world has sun rotation disabled, use a default of 2 hours per "day" (or just make it configurable in the .xml.)

This might already be in place - I'm not able to play right now though, and I was thinking of this as a potential gap in logic. :)
