still works in 7.5, had to clear the surrounding kha'ak installations that were 3 jumps away and then thought about selling my police force as i didnt need them anymore.

This no longer works.
Kha'ak stations (Hives) still respawn, so far it has happened 4 times in my main system after this mod was installed.

@pebble225 - Without a fresh start, existing outposts will remain, but new ones will not spawn is my understanding.

( 6.2 ) This mod currently works reliably only if it is active when starting a new game. If you insert it into an already played game, it will partially limit the formation of new hives, but it is no longer able to stop them permanently.

Has this mod stopped working? Khak will build bases again just a lot further from the center of the sector than they did before. 1000+km

It's happening in every sector there were kha'ak it seems. Doesnt matter if there was a hive or outpost in the sector, after destroying them, the hives and outposts dont respawn but kha'ak spawn as if the installations weren't destroyed. Honestly not sure if its this mod, but this is the only mod I've got installed that mentions anything to do with kha'ak.

I'm having issues where kha'ak are spawning in Pious Mists 4 after destroying the installation. I created a global order to keep my ships out of the sector, after destroying the installation i removed the restriction. My ships went into the sector and got attacked by shit tons of kha'ak.

Seems works as of 6.0. Thanks for giving the hope of secured core sectors!

In general, how khaaks works: they have hives (Khaak installation with defence platforms around), every hive causes to spawn few smaller installations in 3 gates radius every 1 hour (that's why you don't want to kill small ones in prior to big one), small installations spawn raiding parties in unrealistic amounts and they spawn right on mining ships and at some point on your patrol ships as well, killing everything below L class in 1 vs 5-10 khaaks style.

Now, what this mod does - it simply removes respawn on khaak hives, i.e. you will have only initial 3-5 hives in known sectors, you can hunt them all, then clean all small ones in nearest sectors and no khaak ambushes will be.

Is this still working, started a whole new game so I didn't have to deal with the terrible Khaak implementation but I just had an installation appear.

it works. It stops the spawning of main Khaak hives.
I found only one in my game and it did not respawn after destroying it. There are still smal Khaak groups spawning all over the map. They are easyly handeled by sector security or a sector patrol.

I don't quite understand what exactly the mod is supposed to do?
Because the khaak are still showing up and attacking prospectors non-stop???

Great mod. Only very few Kha'ak appeared. Finaly you can use S and M class ships again.

Regardless of the lore, Egosoft implemented the Kha'ak really badly this time around, it was (mostly) fine before they changed mining but now it sucks. Here's hoping this mod works because I'm getting tired of the harassment.

This is a great mod. Thank you so much. It made the game a lot less annoying for me. There is so much other stuff to deal with and ways to permanently stop those other hostiles, that it felt wierd that Kha'ak respawned.

if this works, this will be the only reason im gonna keep playing.
The way they implemented the kha'ak is the most amateurish thing i have egosoft done yet.
And that says alot.
Stupid unfair,unfun, uncounterable horrible mechanic.
I hope they delete the entire faction asap.
It's sad that i have to ruin a clean save for this absolute SHITSHOW of a mechanic.
