Thank you!

I'm already running into some tricky things. I see now why asteroid arty/maginot/etc were removed. Their fighters basically break combat. So for now I'm removing their fighters in place of S/M/P slots.

And shout out to the work you, and the other mod authors, have done so far. I can't imagine how many times you sat there waiting, and waiting, and waiting, for the game to load to check your scaling changes!

Great to see someone continue the work, I would be happy to pick this back up one day when I find time, unfortunately I have been quite busy and/or tend to be occupied elsewhere.

Keep it up :)

I created my version of this mod:

I'm trying to bring in updates from Gigastructures that haven't been incorporated to this mod and reintroduce plantcraft/maginot/asteroid arty.

I LOVE Maginot worlds so this is important to me.

It's a work in progress, and it's based on this mod, so thank you very much TheCreepOfWar!

This mod is no longer maintained there is a "more" updated mod linked but still outdated as I've been really busy IRL.
Emmanuel DH 3 Feb, 2024 @ 2:43am
can you update it please ? That's so sad wo many people want to play real space and giga together but are unable to do so since a while now :(
Diego_Thno 31 May, 2023 @ 9:45am
thank you for your work
TheCreepOfWar 31 May, 2023 @ 5:32am
Here is the version of the original mod that I made updated for 3.8 with more megastructures scaled https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2208551616
Grubbs008 21 Apr, 2023 @ 2:27pm
@Jorge, Not really, 60% of the gigastructures and even regular mega structures' connections are broken. Go build the matter decompressor.
Glory to the 4th Reich! 7 Apr, 2023 @ 11:10am
it's working fine on 3.7xx guys.
victoneux  [author] 20 Mar, 2023 @ 3:39pm
I have no plans to further maintain this mod. I am busy with college and haven't played Stellaris in months; anyone is free to take my work and update it. Please DM me if you create an updated patch, I will post a link here.
Dragonissa 16 Mar, 2023 @ 9:26am
Any plans for 3.7.x?
Tempest 15 Mar, 2023 @ 3:50pm
The lights emitted by the birch world don't connect with the surface of the actual structure, is there any easy way for this to be fixed?
manmuel 10 Mar, 2023 @ 3:11pm
Ubuntu for me
Quontex / Nyonyix 10 Mar, 2023 @ 12:28am
Can Confirm.

Running EndeavourOS and get a crash on startup
victoneux  [author] 8 Mar, 2023 @ 6:34pm
@manmuel

I'm running Arch as my main distro, i'll take a look at it next time I play.
manmuel 8 Mar, 2023 @ 6:20pm
game on Linux crashes on startup when this is enabled
Úlfheðinn 10 Feb, 2023 @ 11:30am
The Everchanging has no model it seems or its not rendering properly
Blue Dwarf 18 Jan, 2023 @ 8:49am
Also, some gigastructures still appear inside stars, depending on how large they are, such as the fusion suppressor.
Blue Dwarf 13 Jan, 2023 @ 12:08am
Does this mod take into account the lights emitted by some stars/structures? Because I often find that lights that are supposed to be emitted from the surface of something, now just float in space far away from the object.
victoneux  [author] 30 Dec, 2022 @ 2:55pm
@CrusaderJooJ666

No, this mod doesn't affect that at all. Real Space - Ship Scaling is it's own thing, and most mods don't support it, as the game mechanics it adds are rather niche. You might try asking on the Gigastructural discord to see if anyone has patched Giga and Ship Scaling together.
CrusaderJooJ666 30 Dec, 2022 @ 11:44am
It doesn't have anything to do with the Real Space - Ship scaling speed right? Because I use it and I noticed the negative mass thrusters don't have the cruise acceleration mechanic which means ships that use it are a lot slower than normal, any help would great.
Lewisharrison141 26 Dec, 2022 @ 6:34am
found a bug and its that a slice of the ring world on the fallen empire is missing, seems to be the same side, south side. did a test and seems to be the 4 mods listed above in that order. also appears the bug removed the mega structure symbol from the fallen empire on the galaxy map

Winter break. I'm currently applying to over 20 colleges and I'm trying to finish my finals, so basically after December 20th.
Grubbs008 28 Nov, 2022 @ 12:27am
@Victoneux

Any ETA? 3.6 comes out tomorrow, So i know it won't be this week.
Tinfoot 2 Nov, 2022 @ 5:26am
After some more testing it appears the computer and city slices were also floating, but slightly under the supports rather than above
not nearly as much of a problem, but still worthy of note
victoneux  [author] 1 Nov, 2022 @ 9:03pm
@Grubbs008 I am going to update it, I am just a very busy person recently. I usually update when I get enough bug reports to avoid having to work too often on it.

@The Sun
It should be baked in, but I'm not sure, idk what's been changed in that regard since 3.3.
The Sun 31 Oct, 2022 @ 10:04pm
Will there be compatibility added with Real Space's new Star Classes? They both have Class O stars so it gets confusing with what you can use the Class O megastructures on, as well as the star classes not properly scaling with megastructure scaling on.
Grubbs008 31 Oct, 2022 @ 4:14pm
@Tinfoot

My load order is also correct, like 95% of all the mega structures are broken the sizes are all wrong with giga. The Author is obviously not updating this anymore.

If someone else could update this, that would be great.
Tinfoot 31 Oct, 2022 @ 9:30am
At first I thought that the Gaia alderson disk was floating again, but terraforming a slice to computer/city slice didn't fix it, so I'm not certain what's going on
all I know is that I've got one disk that's floating, and two that aren't
my brain wants to think that maybe its something with the building of the gaia slice that places it higher than its supposed to be, and terraforming doesn't move it, but I don't actually know anything
Ruby 1 Sep, 2022 @ 10:36pm
The Frame World origin station is far too high above the black hole, completely disconnected from the penrose/matter decompressor upgrades
Asier 2 Aug, 2022 @ 2:15am
Incorrect display of gargantuan ring world, , please correct it
Netist 7 Jul, 2022 @ 10:35am
Oh, and the beams on the Nicoll-Dyson Beam seem to be rotated incorrectly, Took a little bit of work to figure out which entities needed to be adjusted, but I can send you the changes if you want.
Netist 7 Jul, 2022 @ 10:29am
Maginot World needs proper scaling, oddly it's in models/planets instead of with the rest of the megastructures. Personally, I think a scale of 2.6 for pc_giga_maginot_world_main_features_entity and pc_giga_maginot_world_full_features_entity looks pretty solid.
Netist 1 Jul, 2022 @ 12:52pm
okay, yeah, scaling changed on orbital arcologies, and they added entities for the double and triple. I changed the scale from 0.015 to 0.0625 and everything looks good.
Netist 1 Jul, 2022 @ 12:24pm
Dyson Sphere looks fine to me, possible you have something else messing things up?

I have found something that seems broken, though--Orbital Arcologies. The mesh seems to be missing, possibly Gigastructures changed the path?
Apophes 1 Jul, 2022 @ 2:27am
One change, after disabling the System Scale, I loaded the game and the dyson sphere was almost the size of a star but above its center. So this patch does not change the size of structures.
and if i use your older patch, atlest stellar accelerator scales fine
Apophes 1 Jul, 2022 @ 2:01am
dont know whats wrong but, dyson sphere and stellar accelerator the size is not scaled. For example, if the star is large and moved down, then the stellar accelerator looks like a crown and the size does not change, then if the star is not moved down it is simply inside it. The same with the Dyson sphere, it does not increase in size, even star is moved down, I could not check it yet, but I'm sure the size would still not change, except that it would be above the star.
Im okey with big dyson sphere if star it build aroun is small,but if its big then DS is insde it.

Load order is exactly as you said in description, with one difference, after the giga / SS patch comes the rest of the RS mods
victoneux  [author] 16 Jun, 2022 @ 4:46pm
@:meatm: like others have said, the mod still works {almost} perfectly fine. I will update when I have time, my life has been rather chaotic and busy for a while now.

Sorry.
Qymm 16 Jun, 2022 @ 12:09pm
update
Paladin Dawnheart 15 Jun, 2022 @ 2:41pm
@Netist
Thank you! I was actually using the Birch World Origin as a test to see if the patch was working or not. When I saw the lights not in place, I assumed the worst. Actually sat down for my session today and booted up a Alderson Disk Origin and it was working just right. Tried a Great Ring Origin and it too was in working order. If something else is out of place, that's fine, because that gives me some some lengthy playthroughs to work with. Thanks again for the reply!
Netist 15 Jun, 2022 @ 11:02am
@Digital Love I'm currently using this patch with GE and RS:SS and I haven't really found any problems so far. The only thing I noticed were messed up scaling the lights of the Birch World.

I'm sure there's probably *something* that's messed up, but the patch still seems very usable to me.
Paladin Dawnheart 15 Jun, 2022 @ 5:10am
Bruh... lol. Last time I was on Stellaris during the Aquatics Update, you were busy with life and couldn't update this mod. And you're still the only one that does it too lol. How do I keep coming back between updates? Anyway, hope things are going well with you and you get some free time soon. Till then, I'll have to deal without system scaling... again... *sigh*
Netist 12 Jun, 2022 @ 3:11pm
Hey! Finding a Gigastructures System Scale patch that's actually maintained has been a recurring problem every time I've gotten the urge to play Stellaris. You're doing god's work. I'm looking forward to an update, whenever you happen to get it finished.
Gay Sex Haver 7 Jun, 2022 @ 4:26am
LOCKHEED MARTIN DOESN'T WANT YOU TO KNOW ABOUT THE CARTESIAN COORDINATE PLANE AND ITS CONNECTION TO THE CONSCIOUSNESS PLANE. I WILL NOT BOW DOWN TO THE CONTRACTORS THERE IS EMPIRICAL EVIDENCE WITHIN THE COORDINATE SPHERE'S EQUATIONS THAT LEAD TO THE CREATOR GOD AND HIS NAME IS ABRAHAM
MightyShark 6 Jun, 2022 @ 1:49am
Curious: Is this PDXMESH line -pdxmesh = "molluscoid_01_corvette_frame_mesh" - meant to be missing from each entry in the Giga_Orbital_Arcology.asset file ?
victoneux  [author] 5 Jun, 2022 @ 12:21am
Things are finally starting to clear up for me. I know that ring worlds are borked right now, but could y'all submit some reports of all the other bugs in the latest version? I'll devote a day (probably friday) and churn through every bug i can find
LetTheMossReclaimYou 4 Jun, 2022 @ 4:06pm
Good luck with your work/school, man, this mod looks like it will be a very welcome addition.
ludi1989 4 Jun, 2022 @ 12:20pm
@Victoneux Damn man! I'm sorry about all of this! (maybe except that part about Lockheed, that one is dope! :D ) Is there any way to help/support you? Because, damn... flooded house sounds teriible!
victoneux  [author] 4 Jun, 2022 @ 9:38am
@ludi1989 yes, it still works with 3.4. I'll update the mod soon - my OS install broke itself a few days ago, and a few days before that my house flooded, and combined with my job at Lockheed, I've been wayyyy too busy to update it.
ludi1989 4 Jun, 2022 @ 2:49am
The launcher says it's for older version of a game. WIll it work still with 3.4?
