Been working on it because there was a lot of content added to traits that I gotta add to the mod. The bios are actually a lot of fun to work on but I need like 5 or 6 bio entries per trait and that takes some time to do

Ok, can confirm it does not work. Game crashes on starting a new save. Error on ALCOHOLIC.txt

@dinglebop_jones I don't think so. You can make a backup and try since it has been a while since I have tried but it is likely to not work.

I added bonus add and bonus mul and did a quick game with the mod enabled

Many thanks for the mod and your work . When i start the game i got a ctd with error message : Error parsing line: 1, key: BONUS. We don't use 'BONUS' anymore. We use either 'BONUS_ADD' or 'BONUS_MUL'

@Proud_Wingman Righto. The traits will still function and be applied by their default values if not set. For maximum compatibility with other mods I do not edit the race files and simply allow them to take their default values.

I'm now scouring the workshop and see this nice thing here Starfroth. My fingers are itching. Only problem is the trait system isn't 100% yet. Still trying to figure out ways to make it more interesting and impactful, maybe tie it into the new nobility stuff later. I don't like it when I change something and have 100 files I need to fix. But just wanted to pop by and express my admiration.

I've released a temporary patch to update to v62. Includes mutual exclusivity and updates to trait effects.
Only current known bug is 'hypochondriac' and 'very healthy' can still spawn together. However, since disease and immunity has not been implemented yet it won't cause any problems.

Regardless, with new traits, mutual exclusiveness, and a whole range of new stats you should find your citizens with a lot more personalities and unique behaviors without affecting game balance!

Working on updating it rn

The new update (v62) finally added the ability for traits to be mutually exclusive so weak + strong or lazy + workaholic won't occasionally show up any more. [Albeit those were rare because trait occurrences were 5-10% chance to occur on their own so someone being conflicting had a 0.25%-1% chance of existing]

Besides that the core trait system has been largely overhauled, so the update might take me some extra time to overhaul my mod's traits. Adding exclusiveness, more of the new stats, but the main obstacle is trying to get the mod to work with the new system. A lot of the traits seem to not want to show up for some reason and I suspect it is because of the race files.
I don't want to make the mod heavyweight by overriding the base race files so I am looking for an alternative method.

Updated, but unfortunately new traits could not be added with the update as for some reason the traits I wanted to add caused crash so for now it just keeps the same traits

Oh. Forgot to address Dalizon's concern back in April
It doesn't affect overall production that much. Pretty much all of the effects modify things like intelligence, stamina, or strength by marginal amounts. In practice, it all balances out.

@rav In a future game update that will be a thing I believe. For now though it is mostly for flavor. Intelligence, strength, and stamina stats are the chief things edited by stats in this mod which mostly affects the army/combat.

The developer has incorporated some of my stuff into the game before and has asked permission to take NoblesPlus for a future update in the base game as well. So it is very possible that TraitPak might get added along with the future trait rework or at least part of it.

this mod sounds like it should be part of the base game!
i wonder though, will people with certain traits prefer jobs they excel at and avoid jobs they are bad at or is it totally random?

This does what it says it does. Adds a large variety of population efficiency totally at random, so you never know how these may effect your overall production.
