Браток, карта огонь! Еще ни одна мапа не привнесла в игру такие ожесточенные и интересные бои, да и к тому же карта не выбивается из стилистики игры. С кентами часто залетаем и уходим морально опустошенными, сидим обтекаем. 10/10, жду продолжений.

Спасибо большое за карту! Боты и точки расставлены прекрасно. Даже при ботах 25 на цель не лагает. Только на стройке немножко при спавне фризит и проходит:steamhappy:

Can't fix it I'm afraid. The internal structure of the original map is a disaster. I've optimized it for Insurgency to the best of my ability and this is the best I can do. The number of bot spawns doesn't affect performance either.

yo bro... nice map like usual but I think you need to fix this map... only this map shuttering/lagging like hell.. i think bot spawn points too high. 24 would be ideal.. thanks.

Usually we have a high bot count, 25 bots per objective, and I think there's like 35 bots if there's a counter attack. The difficulty is also set to brutal sometimes, which I do believe affects path finding and movement. I'll try and fetch the logs and send them through. Just a bit busy today.

Thank you for the detailed response. Rubber banding generally means the server is being under heavy load. It would be super helpful if you could scoop up the server logs for possible errors. The first theory that comes to mind is that the map is just very large, so when the (wildly unoptimized) insurgency AI starts to do pathfinding towards players the server basically chokes on itself. Does this issue have any correlation with the bot count and/or bot activity, i.e. peaks right after a point is captured (when all bots respawn) and returns to normal once up to a half or so of them are killed between objectives? The other theory is that this map internally is just a giant mess (being ported from a very different engine). Not sure how this would cause server lag though but I can imagine client FPS plummeting from it and there's little I can do that I haven't. Finally, since you mentioned crossing the river, do you think it may have something to do with the water or foliage next to it?

It's hard to say. I got through half of the map, running Angry Bots with Arsenal and I started lagging crazy. I went about my business, it got slightly better but now some of my friends have the same issue. The server doesn't have any other issues running other maps. And I have a lot of aof maps installed, they run fine. We make sure to restart all the servers we run on our box once a day and I'm not running a lot of mods. It looks like it can be server lag, the bots rubber band, weapons rubber band, players rubber band. I guess you could say it's a bit of both ? I'm running 3 workshop items, one that improves bloom (though not too performance heavy), one that changes how muzzleflashes look and one that improves ragdolls. Though when players and/or enemies die the server doesn't stutter once. It's only at a certain points in the map, the checkpoint before crossing the river and after that till the end.

I must say that's not a lot to go by. Is it the actual server lag (i.e. lag in literal sense) or is it the client performance issue (i.e. low FPS / stutter)?

I have this installed on a server and my friends are saying that it lags A LOT. Just all of a sudden it would start dropping frames and it will be fine again a few seconds later. If you need anything else, just let me know. Thanks.

Нет. Я делаю только Checkpoint, и эта карта заточена под Checkpoint. Для достойной реализации Push нужно продумывать точки, спавны, тайминги, прострелы, кемперские нычки, укрытия и прочее, еще и для обеих сторон. У меня на это ни навыков, ни времени, ни желания, если честно. Если другой какой-то моддер возьмется - то пожалуйста, исходная карта всё равно не моя.

This isn't obvious, but the foliage by the bridge should block line of sight if you crouch close to it. I'm honestly not sure how useful it is on servers with huge numbers of bots around, but theoretically as long as you don't let them flank you around the bridge you can use the foliage to take cover behind and render bots blind. Risky, but worth trying out.

- Fixed window physics in all buildings
- Fixed being able to get stuck in a few places
- Fixed soundscapes in all interiors
- Slightly extended D capture zone (a bit easier to defend)

My group plays twice a week, and someone always calls for this map. Great challenge and great fun. Thank You for all of the AOF series of maps. They're the best and the ones we play the most. My group is now seven years old.

I've only seen one server use it before, I think it was called bot massacre or something, they tuned up the bots so much that crossing the bridge outpost is near impossible, sometimes you'd get popped by a bot sitting behind foliage (not too dissimilar from the original game lol)

The windows have a transparent block on them, which seem to stop bullets half the time.
Noticed on bravo / echo, maybe other points/buildings too.

We had fun with the map and found it to be a good challenge. Playing it again today, with emphasis on the final checkpoint. We use the 35Angrybot mod with 10 slots.
