@_PandaGlitz13_ Yes, you need the Dawnguard DLC for this as crossbows aren't part of the main game. They're first added upon installing the Dawnguard DLC

No matter what perks I have or which forge I go to, this crossbow cannot be improved or crafted. It is a good starting crossbow, since it is better than the enhanced Xbow, but the Dwemer Xbow beats it hands down, even without ernhancing it. Oh, and it renames Dragonsreach Fort Dragon.

Yes, I have Dawnguard and I use the crossbow and exploding bolts as soon as I can get to Whiterun.

@TigeinMansClothing:have you dawnguard? and there is a chest in Dragonreach whith crossbow ,and Try the Skyforge ,I hope you find pleasure in seeing several copies with different enchantments in the trunk with the mage of the court of Whiterun (see photo) behind the wall with the map of Skyrim, you can of course go to the link to have a workable model to forge.

I have never been able to craft this weapon, even with 100 Smithing and all the perks. No version of this crossbow ever appears on any list.

or ill just cheat and put my smithy to 100 and craft it and get the id myself and load earlier save and then spawn it

yeah i dont see any mentions about the id and i cant craft it cause i dont have the requierd skill could somebody be kind and tell the id of the crossbow so i can spawn one for me :)
