Also, I suggest making it so that it can't be used on bosses (it doesn't burn the charge), or at least does an amount of damage to them. You can also get teleported onto an isolated piece of land which screws you if you don't have flight (though you fix it by reloading the save.)
The only time where you can get stuck, is when you're surrounded by rocks or pits.
I guess you could also say it's also a mechanic to punish players who mindlessly press it, without thinking where the enemy is.
In my playthroughs, I haven't got stuck yet. I understand people have different playstyles, which is where the problem may lie.
I'll probably do something about it, however it's not high in my priority list.
