Just what I needed, I grinded my ass off to buy an estate only to be told I couldn't do it cause my dad was still alive somewhere. This let's me buy property without killing the old man. :steamthumbsup:

Is there a chance for changing the rules, so it only see's the living ancestors up to grandparents/great-grandparents? This mod would be great as a way to prevent unnececary House Seniority succetion for Long-living/immortal characters (by switching to ai and back).

The mod works for me. I made a cadet branch even though there is a parent still alive.
Though the decision button has no name or text at all.

for me its not just house heads, the mod doesn't work for anyone. it just says its made a new house which is the house they are already in

Creating Cadet Branches while being the house head doesn't really work from a coding perspective. In order to create a new house you would need to land your primary heir while he/she isn't house head yet and then fire the decision from there.

When i click the decision, no new house is created. I am the head of my current house but want to create a new house for gameplay/story purpose

@Edaryion It works for me in Vanilla. Please you try aswell. I can be possible that the Tales of Ireland mod conflicts with FCB somehow, but I'm not sure why.

I tried this with the 'Tales of Ireland' mod and it does not work. 😞
