Unfortunate drawback to this mod is that it uses post processing bloom for the effect, if bloom is turned off, you just get a colorless stick.

Would be interesting if you were to integrate this mod with the grenades mod, would be cool to chuck a glow stick. Half the mod is done for you, all you need is a weapon type and copy over all the object code to the thrown object and it should work as intended. I know that thrown grenades are objects just like how you have it so not much would need to change, just got to add a duration and you'd be set. :GoVentureStress:

Uhm, how do I use them exactly? I can't use them it seems like?

Do I just have to drop them out of my inventory?

@RogueCmdr They're definitely impacted by the settings of any skybox/environment mod you're running. The thumbnail is what they look like on mine.

@RogueCmdr They aren't a large light source, they simply glow. They're definitely functioning as intended on my end.

I have post processing on on mine but they dont glow much at all. also shouldnt they stack.. they arent now. maybe Heavy industry broke it like other mods?

@Valikai Please add a note that 'postprocessing' must be enabled for these to work correctly, I had turned it off sometime ago and it took awhile to realise this was why they did not work for me

Well, to combat the issue of dropping a single one from a stack, you could possibly make this a build-able item, with the only component being a glow-stick? no welding needed as it drops in full form? just a thought...

@[SE] Bean Glad you're enjoying them. I initially put them as unstackable so they're easier to casually toss out. Haha. I can mess with that if it's something people don't like.

Also handy at the start when you scout out places to mine ore on a planet. Marking the entrance with glowsticks, then progressively as you go down the mineshaft (I corkscrew downward). Handy

As awesome as these are, they could benefit from stacking in the inventory. The craft medpack and powerpacks mod does it with those batteries and healthpacks..

@BloodyHawk If you're using another mod, like a skybox, your emissive and bloom settings may be turned adjusted and negating the visual effect. Try using another skybox or the default one.

@Dalten They're floating objects. They're just physical objects, like a component or an ingot. You just drop them. Trash settings will definitely remove them.

@Dalten just look at the screenshot. If they were blocks they would be axis aligned with each other so thats 100% not the case. Also the description VERY CLEARLY states they are components (made in assembler). The assembler cannot make blocks

Hello, are these objects treated as Floating Object entities or blocks when placed down? if floating entities, are they subject to be removed by trash collection settings?

@FleetAdmiralSolar The emissive settings are dictated by your environment file, which is totally adjusted to be have less glow and bloom on that mod. Nothing I can do on my end. I have them CRANKED haha.

I use space Just got real and it doesn't seem to light up an area. I can barly see the light as is, is there a way for the bloom or emiision to be turned up?

@TheTownWitchDoctor there is a mod that has flares for engineer and grids on the workshop. Very fun to use at night as you realize you're about to be killed by a spider
