1: The update literally just launched today. Expecting an immediate update of a completely free mod is a little unreasonable.

2: While the new update does include new emblems, backgrounds, and colors, it seems odd they would need to change how flags work to the extent that this mod could cause the effects you describe. Are you certain those same effects are present with only this mod loaded?

For some reason this mod alone makes Expanded Colours not work.

im no artist, all i can do is mess with vectoring software and photoshop stuff, no less draw or 3d model anything remotely good looking.
