Hey Pepper I just talkrd with you as Imperialist_Marauder on a Reddit post I made! Turns out you were right about the mod conflicting, I just put yours in higher priority and it works just fine!

Really really good mod btw, it gives my girl Arbalest a nice spin. My only neatpick would be the pose you choose for the riposte animation because it looks a little silly imo.

@Xendor As in it didn't mark and apply a debuff ? The debuff can still be resisted and the riposte can of course still miss (even if it should be rare). It doesn't do any damage

Neat concept but with the buffed mark you really need to give Rallying Flare more use for it to be a viable pick

@JessRivers No this rework only affects Arbalest, so you can perfectly use a Musketeer rework along side it or even keep the vanilla musketeer

Wait... That's base in vanilla? I've played the game for 400 hours, and never really paid attention (I've definitely noticed but never realised it :D)

@zombieboss I kept the base crit chance and the crit buff on sniper shot as vanilla, but I could see myself to nerf (maybe even remove the buff against mark) in an update. Thanks for the feedback

OP AF, but I love it, maybe tone down sniper shot a little bit, 32% crit chance if you fire it at someone marked?? seems op just by that single fact.

I have an idea about the sniper shot. Maybe you could lower its regular accuracy by 10, and make the "always hit marked target" more conditional by making it work only on enemies that already made their turn? It would make it a little more RNG since arbalest can accidentally act before the enemy you were going to attack. And it would give players more thinks to work with when planning their party and also would make them choose if they want to add speed to the arbalest or not.

And yeah, of course the idea is inspired by the Stabilizing Tiller from BC

I agree but you always want to leave the chance for a low-roll. It keeps the tension and uncertainty of every action you take. Regardless, still a great rework. Arbalest has always been one of my least favorite hero because of her 2-dimensional kit. This gives her many avenues.

At 115 acc + mark that debuff dodge I honestly don't think it's a huge buff, it would have been the same has giving her a Acc buff against mark. But I'm glad that you like the tank role I tried to give to her

I like this. I really do. The idea of a guarding overwatch combo is cool. It's like a "Get down, Mr. President! It's over there! Return fire!" That's my head canon, at least.

However, I believe Sniper Shot always hitting marked targets is not healthy for the game. RNG is a core mechanic of Darkest Dungeon. Removing it trvializes the experience. My only real critic.

I'm not saying change it, mind you. I'm just saying, in my games, I won't be using it. I'll just use bola or other support abilities to keep it balanced.

Great job, though. I see you did the Abom too. I'm gonna go look at that now.

Isn't there a modded class that consumes marks? The Seraph or something? Marking riposte would work very well with that.

Riposte that doesn't deal damage but marks and debuffs enemies is pretty interesting.
