I'd love to expand this into DLC maps such as the Sierra Madre, the Divide and New Caanan.
However, there are some things that I'm not sure about when it comes to the method of capturing 2D maps.
I've sent you a friend request, maybe we can discuss this more there?
You'll also need to delete the objects that do occlusion around doors, they un-render the rest of the level if it doesn't think the areas can be seen but that causes issues in interior areas.
I have already done Gomorrah though so i may be able to add that soon.
You can see a progression in quality from goodsprings through to Vegas as I got better at the process over time, and as our party progressed.
Thanks for the kind words!
Thanks again for all your work for the community.
I'm setting up a workshop with all the maps laid out so they can be organized and grabbed easily. However, my party won't be going everywhere, so I won't have everywhere mapped out. If you want a specific area of the game mapped out, a vault, a building, etc, hit me up and we can discuss it, because this takes effort to make but the results are really nice now.
I've modded F:NV for the highest fidelity and render distance possible and use console commands and the GECK editor to extract the areas and interiors as 4K screenshots from above. I don't have a 4K monitor but Nvidia has faking options to force rendering at that resolution. Photoshop them, make them fit oneworld, and add grids if necessary. The ones near goodsprings are a bit dodgy but I've gotten considerably better at the process as time goes on. For interiors with multiple floors i strip the levels apart with the GECK and screenshot them in succession.
Here is an example of the creation process on a very simple map: https://imgur.com/a/ZIBvfW4
A bunch of updates to that room have also been made that improve the play area.
