@stormlow glad you like it.
MY EYES ARE BLEEDING!!!
Yes the lights are brighter but not real.
I must say that overall I find the lights from oncoming traffic much more realistic with this Mod, A glare from the headlights, that reduces as the angles alter, and of course the way the road is lit from my own lights is superb.
I do find the Marker lights and Tail lights from vehicles to be rather brighter than realism would give
Awesome mod great job man
My prior comment has still significantly reduced these lag spikes I get, while using this mod. Not sure if there's anything else I can do on my end to fix the problem. I've played with some of my other graphics settings, but it doesn't seem to have much affect.
PS: Disabling the Secondary Vehicle Lights has caused me some issues if I end up needing to park my trailer at night. Having the trailer lights reflect off of other surfaces helps me see what is around me, so the lack of reflections leaves me very in the dark about my surroundings when trying to back up. I usually just try and avoid having to make deliveries at night.
That said, after installing this mod I started having serious lag spikes at certain times in my game! It always seemed to happen when driving at low speeds, in cities/towns, and when there was a lot of traffic.
After some testing, I think I have found the solution, so I'm posting it here in case it helps anyone else. In the graphics settings, disable the following options:
- Normal Maps
- Traffic Headlights
- Secondary Vehicle Lights
For any concerned, disabling the latter two only affects the reflections caused by other lights. So you'll still see the headlights of other traffic, and secondary vehicle lights. The "Normal Maps" may not need to be disabled, as it alters the lighting of details on mostly flat surfaces, and the difference can be very subtle.
