im working on a infinite range lifeboat-style starter boat and i wana add a superspeed underwater mode and i need to get an alitude hold for it. the altitude hold could rotate some fins ( maybe like starbord, front and port) if you wana help me, it would be very useful and i would of course credit you for your help

@Experimental Pilot, it is probably caused by the size of your plane. The altitude hold is best suited for small to medium aircraft with 2 elevators. If your plane is bigger and needs more, you have to play around a bit with the settings and how many elevators the controller is connected to.

This causes the elevators to bounce wildly, any idea how t fix?

Worked instantly on my medium sized F-15 style jet. Was feeding through gyro initially, changed it to just raw output to the "main control surfaces," which seem to do the heavy lifting, while retaining gyro on 1-2 roll/pitch fins for smoothing. 10/10, after hours of trying to tune my own PID, this is great, and it reads pitch so you don't do loops.

Works well. I reduced the P value to 0.2 to avoid bouncing.

@kookaburra, I think you may have placed a tilt sensor or control surface the wrong way. You should check those one more time or try inverting the outputed signal.

@birb, if you edit the microcontroller. There are 2 clamps in it. I think if you play around with those for a bit you should be able to change it

This doesn't seem to work for me... I hooked everything up correctly and it just does nothing.

@CipherNova I think your elevators are not placed with the same side up. Try placing them both (if you have two) with the minus arrow facing upward (or downward can't remember). Or try to turn them 180 degrees. If after this it still doesn't work correctly. You can upload it to the workshop and link it here if you want, so I can take a look at it.

Hi, im trying to get a functioning alt hold in my cargo jet. I tried making my own, it made me do loops, tried others from youtube, they made me do loops. So far yours is the only one that actually gets a stable alt hold.... but it makes my plane go inverted. Any clue why?

It's not the best plane, but the next one I'm building's going to be better and still use your system
