This is too op in my opinion. It should affect only units in the city's territory.

The AI finishes district based project if they have nothing better to do like vanilla, and inevitably they use this feature.

Does the AI use these too? Im thinking of grabbing this mod + another mod that lets me edit xp needed to level up, set them both to extremely high so that combat to promote units becomes essentially nullified, but units still have a way to get their promotions. (I just dont like basing my combat strats on who needs xp, i think leveling units like how they did it is stupid in a strategy game to begin with).

edit, ok i find the probleme, sometime units aren't corectly removed from the game when a delet them manualy, they are still present in the list of units, but not physicaly, so i have to delet the buged one again, pass one turn and it's fixed =)
( i post it here in case of someone have the same probleme )

worked fine, but after 200 + turn, it's stop working :(

Confirmed working. Units gained XP normally and heroes didn't. No vampires in this game to test with, but I'm sure those are fine too. Thanks for the fix.

It's now working. Certainly this time.

Finally had the time to test the fix. Started a brand new game and strangely with the latest version I'm getting no experience at all from the projects. It's still showing that the mod is in use, but it's doing nothing.

Fixed. It now ignores units with the property "CanEarnExperience='false'", namely heroes, vampire, GDR, as well as it now ignores units already finished promotion tree before its max level (usually because of gaining traits for free by forming Corps with another unit)

Can confirm the fix. I got the proper reduced amount that I wanted. However, I noticed that the XP is also given to heroes and vampires, while normally neither of them gains any XP. Heroes actually can level up since they are defined as existing unit types and use their promotion trees, but vampires don't have any tree at all. Would there be a way to exclude heroes and vampires from gaining XP from this project? Or at least the vampires.

Fixed. It was because iSpeedCostMultiplier was an integer ranged from 1 to 100. It should be devided by 100.
Saniala 4 May, 2021 @ 3:46am
Okay I managed to see what the XP amount was. Turns out 5 * iSpeedCostMultiplier ends up giving the units 500 XP.
Saniala 4 May, 2021 @ 3:13am
I like the idea, but I would have preferred less than 15 XP for each project completion (not to mention 25!). So I tried modifying the file to get 5 XP instead. I changed the last part to 5 * iSpeedCostMultiplier, but the project gave waaaayy more than 5 XP on standard speed. Not sure how much exactly, but every unit leveled up no matter what level they were. So clearly I'm doing something wrong here. Any advice on how to get just 5 XP?

No, support units do NOT have XP so they don't gain anything from training.

I don't know how is that mod implemented, but the description reads like the units swallowed by other units do not exist anymore and they are spawned onto the map again by a "release" command, resulting them not gaining anything. You can still give it a try.

question ? d you have it enabled so support units get XP as well. For those of us who use Combat stacking overhal ?
