This is an absolutely amazing mod. I don't know how to thank you enough, random internet modder person. This is just so good

Best imperator mod ever, thank you so much for this, I could never to back to vanilla battles. I’d go so far to say that If I had to choose between this and invictus I’d pick this

must have been an accident, unit changes removed now regardless.

elephant 6 movement speed? why did you change unit stats at all? thx for your work!!

@spencado sorry for the very late reply but yes it is completely compatible. just make sure to place it at the bottom of your modlist. i havent touched the mod in ages as it im quite satisfied with its current changes. any other changes ive considered were already done by the invictus team :))

Spencenado 6 Jul, 2022 @ 1:14am
i know this mod hasnt been commented on in 6 months but is this compatible with current invictus?
RedManMoneyz  [author] 5 Dec, 2021 @ 8:54pm
yes, battles are far shorter due to increased kill rate. winning armies do lose more too, not anywhere near as much losing armies however
applejuice 5 Dec, 2021 @ 11:23am
so by "more casulties" you just mean faster casualties? and I'm guessing the winning armies still take very high casualties
RedManMoneyz  [author] 31 Aug, 2021 @ 7:27pm
i will likely add that sometime in the future, hands full atm
Regal Orangutan 13 Aug, 2021 @ 6:17pm
have you considered adding buff/debuff for units in specific terrain?
RedManMoneyz  [author] 6 Aug, 2021 @ 3:14am
ive only edited the unit files and part of the nCombat defines, so it probably is Invictus. IRs code is a bit wonky tho, so maybe those changes have some knock on effects that im unware of.

Have tried switching this mod on and off for every second campaign recently to test how differently it plays, and I have to say all campaigns that I’ve had this switched off I wish I had it enabled.

It stops big battles lasting weeks and armies from miles away joining to change the swing of things. So it’s much more important to only fight battles you’ve prepared for and those battles are more important.

But I feel the same way as @name too about the legion honours. Its just something I noticed while playing but I have Invictus enabled too so I’m unsure if it’s one of these.

Theres definitely nothing I've modified that should affect that. Its either coincidence or a bug. Good to hear youre enjoying my mod tho :))

@jeffpacito67 Really like the dynamics that it adds to the game. I finished 3 campaigns with it already. However, I noticed one thing. And I might be totaly wrong here becasue it's just empirical observation. Anyway, I got a feeling that legions don't earn honors as often and consistently like in vanilla. I wonder if you have thoughts on that.

@quimera Victors write history not losers :) and one of the biggest people known for this was Ceaser himself.

I'm actually not interested in this mod in particular, but i hope you will do some other nice mods for the game as PDX abandoned the game :(

@Quimera yes thats true, but tbf this particular battle was one I started off losing so its more of an outlier. I should have chosen a better example image. I stack wiped an army in 5000 v 4000 yesterday and i only had 155 casualties, so it is accurate at times
Quimera 2 May, 2021 @ 12:49pm
but what I see on screen, it is sad that the battles resutl even on the winner side have such amount of deaths among his troops, I mean, old warfare melee style, the winner barely have KIA, but the loser could lose more than half of his army, because the focus was and it is to destroy the enemy moral. Of course, I am not calling you but Paradox to add such an inaccurate system.

Just what is needed to give the warfare that punchy, dramatic feel of decisive ancient battles!
