was a bit a sceptical on this, but frankly, this is amazing, was using wrong to start with putting em over existing paths, once that part got cleared up. hell yeah

You may be using the sign incorrectly. I added another screenshot with a description. If this is not your case, describe your problem in more detail in the discord of the game, preferably with screenshots so that it is clearer what is broken

I answered in the discord. In short, the city expands with sidewalks, these are light tiles under the road. And it is the sidewalks that need to be kept out of the way.

With the correct installation of the sign on the current version of the game, everything works. I saw that you are in the discord. Post there a screenshot of the place where the sign was installed, where the city was able to grow further.

hey, nice mod! Im only having a small issue. In the screenshots you mention that placing the city border sign on a road, the city will stop generating past that point, but in my world they do keep expanding even tho theres a border sign placed. Is this how the mod should work?

Separately, both of these mods are workable. Unfortunately, they could not work together before. You can check now on a new game, if it works, then a third-party library developer has fixed the problem. I didn't check the last patch for operability.

There is no way to fix the conflict of my two modifications, since the problem is related to the library for modding from the game. I have made the second modification unavailable for use.

There is an in-game error that causes this mod and the "control room" mod to conflict. As far as possible, I will correct the error, and before that, you need either that or this mod not to use

The sign should be placed on the road where the sidewalk ends. The first screenshot from the description of the mod shows.

Hi. Having an issue with the birder sign. Cities grow right past it. I have tried placing it on the border, where the pavement ends and ahead of it. Am i missing something?

Thank you very much, I consider several of your mods as essential.

Can confirm this one works using Linux, and the issue from some time ago seems to have been resolved, so far I didn't have any problems with that.

I checked on the current version, when building according to the instructions from the screenshots of the mod, everything works and there are no errors. Checked for 0.87.2.3

Если речь о линуксе, то о проблеме мода на данной ОС написано в описании . На windows все работает, если размещать знаки по инструкции в скриншотах мода. Для версии 0.87 перепроверил только что.

This is a great mod, it should be part of the core game! Small thing I think you have logging left on, there's a harmony.log that's made each time the game launches and can see you're referencing Harmony in your comments. One of the forum mods pointed the file is being generated by a mod and this is my best guess on which one I'm using.

Under the sidewalk, you should understand the light color of the blocks under the cells with the road. Where the blocks under the road are green, or white in the winter biome, there is no sidewalk there anymore

The sign of the end of the city should be placed as in the first screenshot. Where the sidewalk ends next to the road. If the sidewalk remains on the road to the right and left of the sign, then the city will continue to grow.

For Linux users. An update of an additional library for script mods has been released, the old version of which is in the game. Which of the Linux users have the opportunity to check, link https://github.com/pardeike/Harmony/releases/tag/v2.1.1.0
There in the Harmony archive.2.1.1.0.zip from the net48 folder, you need to move the file 0Harmony.dll to the folder with the game on Linux with the replacement ..../VoxelTycoon/VoxelTycoon_Data/Managed . And try to run the game with my mod, which was broken before.

On linux, it is still the same. Perhaps something will change on the new update of the game, which is now in the test branch. I don't have the ability to debug the mod on linux, so there is no news about fixing this error.

@Sergey Slevin: Just FYI, it is possible to load a save game containing the mod; when you first start the game, create a fresh map without the mod , and from that point on, you can then load in your saved game. You don't have to repeat that initial process of creating a map, as long as you don't exit VT.
At least that is what works for me.

It is a tad contrived, but still better than the unsightly and tedious alternative of fencing in every settlement -- not to speak of the cancer that is entirely unchecked city growth.

@Daego Completely removing cities can cause unpredictable consequences, but making cities smaller is possible.

Have to confirm weird mod behavior at Manjaro Linux OS. It is possible to make it work by adding it to save after map creation but impossible to load the savegame after. Lost couple of gameplay hours.

I took it that way. The reason I was thinking of replacing them was to swap one mod for the other; I don't know yet whether I need both, and if there's redundancy, the fewer mods the better... less opportunity to break with new updates is what I'm thinking here...
All to be seen, I have yet to take a look at the new one, so no worries. I'll get it figured out eventually ;)

I made the accessibility of the waypoint and concrete blocks a separate decoration in a separate mod https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2488694707 , so as not to clutter up the interface for those who do not need it.

About the error - I can't reproduce it on windows, maybe it's some features of unity working on linux systems. It is not possible to solve this yet. Perhaps, if you manage to draw the attention of the game developers to the error in discord, you will be able to fix it.

My apologies if I'm being a nuisance, but may I request adding back in the city limits as a station?

They are super convenient as waypoints for assigning different routes through a city. Don't get me wrong -- the decorations are great as well for those cases where a waypoint would only add to the clutter.
And while I'm pestering you, may I ask for a road end consisitng only of the concrete barriers? That would be absolutely great to have as well.

Regarding the bug, I can't get it resolved other than the way I described eatlier -- create a new map, and then load in the one I actually want; everything else just crashes the game, and it only happens with this mod enabled. My apologies again, I know that is not very specific or indeed helpful.
