the developer is alive, but guys... seriously. stop begging for 1.6 that hard.
this is not the typical "i'll just have a few small things" mod. this mod is much more complicated and even for the anomaly update, took 1-2 weeks after anomaly release to actually function, even longer than that to not have the FPS issues it had back then.
cut the dev some slack and just be patient.

NALS kindly updated the mod after I spoke to him in his channel! As expected, it only took a rebuild against the new assemblies.

If nothing goes wrong, my 1.5 update to THIGAPPE should be ready within a few days!

Everyone can rest assured. I am very familiar with Apparel Paper Pattern's codebase and can attest that none of the base game code APP touches was changed in any significant way in 1.5.

I strongly suspect that all APP will need to work again is a rebuild against 1.5 Core assemblies. However, I currently have no access to the source code.

I'm finishing up a 1.4 feature update to THIGAPPE and APP Utilities. After, I intend to ask NALS if I could contribute directly to the framework's development. NALS is indeed currently busy refactoring Facial Animation (which was much more significantly impacted by 1.5).

This isn't abandoned as far as I know, but the graphical changes in 1.5 essentially requires a complete rewrite from scratch for most graphical mods that isn't a simple re-texture...

I hope all of you can simply wait until Nals can get to this. :steamfacepalm:

Nope, this is not working for 1.5.
1.5 changes how stuff are drawn and rendered - so mods like this with their own functions to draw and render have broke. :(


Last I checked, Nals has confirmed there are issues and he/she is working to resolve it, starting with the animation stuff.

Hmm, looks like your log doesn't list the actual error. At the bottom of the file you posted, there's a header of "Log file contents". Could you try to upload what comes after that?

I'm the author of THIGAPPE, so I'd definitely like to help resolve this. However, this discussion may be better suited for THIGAPPE's mod page.

This error will continue to report from the beginning of the game.The error log is enough to swipe the screen.:ccknight:No visual problems,maybe.:haloeye:I can provide HugsLog.To be honest, it's hard to pinpoint which mod is incompatible

Hey! Could you describe exactly when the issue is occurring? Also, are there any accompanying visual problems?

A HugsLog would be very helpful as well (that's ctrl + F12 in game with HugsLib loaded).

Hello.I'm running into an error.From the logs, I'm guessing it's a NullReferenceException.The possible cause is that when the ApparelPaperPattern.Graphic_RenderTextureR1.Init method is executed, the reference to an object is null.:buzzed:

Hmm, I've never noticed that before. It's unlikely to be the same root cause. The earlier issue is a related to how APP categorizes apparel before deciding how to mask it. Your shoulder issue comes after masking, so it must be further down the pipeline. I suspect it's probably an issue related to compound masks.

Maybe you could show me a few screenshots?

Also, it may be best to continue this conversation on THIGAPPE's page, as we're only discussing the framework itself indirectly.

I am curious, could this also be the reason the big bulky armors have their shoulders disappear when they interact with stuff? Theres no errors or anything, but like Prestige Cataphract / Cataphract have their shoulders disappear when they interact with something and then they reappear after they finish/put it down.

Thanks for letting me know! Looks to be the exact same problem. Those items are also added by patch, this time under Alpha mechs>1.4>Mods>Biotech>patches>RoyaltyPatch.xml.

I've now resolved the root of the problem in development versions of APP Utilities. But if you need a temporary solution, my previous instructions should work for that item as well.

I ended up ditching the Utility Pack mod :P But now i found another one that freaks out when i equip it. Prestige Mech Breaker Armor from Alpha Mechs.

Thanks for reporting! I've investigated and found the source of the problem.

The author of More Utility Packs added in those items via patch and not LoadFolders. This appears to prevent RimWorld from recognizing what packageID those items came from. APP naively goes to look for this packageID when determining what APP Def to use to render that item. When it can't be found, APP's rendering pipeline is interrupted.

I'm working on a fix for the naive check as part of APP Utilities' next update. However, it will be part of a development version that isn't quite ready for release.

In the meantime, I'd recommend moving the ThingDefs added in 1.4>Patches>Mechanoids.xml to 1.4>Defs>Apparel_Packs.xml, at the same level as all the other ThingDefs. Since this is file editing, be aware that your changes will be reversed if the original mod updates.

It does sound like a mod conflict is at work if disabling those options helped. Pants used to rely on Visible Pants, but as long as the APP Utilities option is enabled, they should be shown with default settings with no extra trouble.

It'd be easiest to continue this over DM and post our findings after the fact, so send me a friend request when you get the chance.
