So keep the mod unloaded until you are ready to fight the guy. You have to do the same with a lot of quest mods.

Dunno if it's from this mod but every time I start a new game, this spirit called "Echo of Mannimarco" keeps tracking me down. It's kinda impossible to fight this guy as level 2 since he just one hits you and kills all NPCs who are near or attack him.

Not so different from real life, I think. I heard if you keep jumping you get better at it - therefore Oblivion is the more realistic game :P

Probably because of worse graphics and unrealistic movement I never had any issues with causing all sorts of chaos in Cyrodiil :D

SOOOOO I erased that one & did all over again. BUT- this time I fast traveled to the cave close by & left the horse & eased into it. Was still quite a fight, but at least this time I could see it coming before it clobbered me,LOL! SGTWINKLER, hats off to you, sir! That was FUN!

Wanted to share my experience here w/you. Background- I'm lvl 74 expert warrior. Physical fighting is the forte- mage skills there but not used much. SO- Shadowmere & I approached from the crabber shanty coming around back & ambling up the moutain. Saw trouble coming fast....by the time I'd dismounted they were on me like SAND ON THE BEACH!! Had the fight of my life keeping the horse & I alive through the onslaught. FINALLY, after all were dead, I started surveying the dead & looking for my goodies. Never did get a good look at whom I killed when, but I did find Mannimarco's axe, so figured I must've got'im. DID NOT find the regeneration spell tome even though I searched the area 3 times....spent over 30 minutes doing it, too.

@tx12001, My character in Oblivion is relatively good so I chose to kill him and not join him although I may choose to join him if I make another character.

The real king of Worms or as he became The God of Worms would have been a lot harder to kill their is infact an Oblivon mod that actualy addresses that by having the "true" mannimarco descend to Nirn after the mages guild questline and it adds several quests where you can either Fight the God of Worms or Join him

actually there is a very strong belief that he was merly an avatar or an Imposter as Mannimarco was a Lich who turned himself into a God at the end of Daggerfall and what you saw in oblivon was not the real King of Worms

DBswag - same thing happened to me in Oblivion. He was disappointing to say the least. I just tried this mod again on a new save - The first time I was level 64 and it was fairly easy. This time I was level 12 and literally didn't see it coming :O

@DBswag when I fought Mannimarco I fought a Skeleton wearing an elbarote red robe and then I ended up Joining him and killing off the mages guild

I was playing Oblivion yesterday and I faced Mannimarco for the first time, expecting to see a horrible zombie like creature I readied my weapon. But what I saw was a regular man who took about a minute to kill; I was then expecting to be transported somewhere to fight the real him but no that really was him. I must say I was quite disappointed. The first thing I did was raise his naked body with his staff and then laugh at him, then he died and fell in the water.

tx12001 - No, you cannot join him, though that is an interesting idea. If you use the console to add yourself to the skeleton faction they won't attack you, and you maybe could make him and his army your allies.

I didn't know he was a god - and no, in Oblivion he was not a fake, the whole Mages Guild quest was dedicated to, erm, removing him. Maybe they changed it in ESO, idk.

Technaclly Mannimarco is a God what you sqaw in Oblivon was most likley an Imposter

You got it. He was the main antagonist of the Mages Guild storyline. I didn't know he was in TESO also. MMOs just aren't for me, so I'm holding out for TES 6, Valenwood maybe.

yeah i would think merida or the vigilants of stenndar star the quest chain with a minor quest investigate necromancers and the fort you have you grind through and the boss not mannimarco sayhe is returning then you take a note off of him and it starts the quest line
