its just player outpost or all outpost?
(u know when u see random people fighting whit a random outpost)

Yeah, positive. I reloaded the save, then I did an import after that. Both times the camera and the pointer were still stuck. Even when I reverted to a previous save before I started building, it had the same problem. I only use 5-6 mods and Slopeless is the only one that involves building or bases so that's why I threw that out there. I'll play around with the load order later maybe.

I can't even imagine how it could possibly do that, or conflict with any mods in any significant way. All it does is change a single number on a handful of raid templates.

You sure it didn't fix just because you exited and reloaded?

This mod borks my game when I try to build. Mouse pointer disappears, camera locks up and phases through the terrain. As soon as I disabled it and reloaded the save I could build again. Does this conflict with Slopeless somehow?

If they were on the way already, the mod can't stop them. It only works to stop territorial raids that haven't triggered yet.

So you would need to either load an earlier save, or import the save, in order to stop that one.

Depends on if the attacks are base raids or not, and what level the outpost is.

If the attacks are not announced via notifications, then they are not base raids, and this mod does nothing for them. Those would be "base attacks" which you can reduce or disable in the options menu.

If they are announced, the version of the mod you need depends on the level of your outpost. There is a comment just a little below here that explains the different levels.

I am in a run with a base in the spider plains and there the copper is low, i make a base in a good spot with no copper but i find a copper mine far, i need to build walls and a gate with a copper deposit, i have one skeleton minning because the skin spider eat my other worker, but the raids attack all the time the mine deposit, what level i need to maintain the mine alone?

Yeah, only the initial taxman raid counts as a territorial raid, all others are done by triggers. So it would need an import to work on him for you.

it was the tax man, i got the mod on the 2nd warning so that may count as a raid in progress ill keep playing and see if i get any different one.

Were the raids already on the way? Or are they retaliations for anything? Like mentioned in the description, the only raids stopped are territorial raids that trigger based on you settling nearby. If they had already triggered, or are part of an event chain, the mod won't affect them.

You could try importing the save, which would reset events, forcing them to check themselves against the new requirements again.

Also, the mod does nothing with "base attacks", which are the ones where they just show up with no dialog or notifications. Those are pure chance based on wandering squads in the region, nothing I can do about them. You can turn them down or disable them in the options menu though.

There are 4 levels of base, with 4 corresponding map icons.
0 - X
1 - Stormhouse
2 - Watchtower
3 - Town

In vanilla, raids can trigger on 0 or higher base level. This mod disables territorial raids for level 0 bases. The level 2 alternate disables it for levels 0 and 1, while the level 3 variant disables them for 0, 1, and 2 levels.

Based on what you're saying, you would want at least the level 2 version if you wanted to stop raids from hitting you right now.

hey! so im rather new to kenshi. my base is rather small it has a shack icon so what level of your mod would that be ive tried looking but none of them say for a shack. :)

Honestly such a good balancing mod for nomading. I absolutely hated like plopping down a refinery in the middle of nowhere and suddenly everyone in the solar systems knows Im there and think they have anything to gain by sending an army of people to beat up a starving lone hiver.

I might make a new version of this mod though that adds in new tiny raids for tiny bases instead of none.

@gron I would guess you need two things. Be sure you are not exceding the limits for this mod to work. (your camp being too large) and maybe, you should try import your save (reset it... i forgot the right word, its been sometime i dont play).

This mod is so good and it honestly makes the most sense. A smaller base (and what constitutes a base in vanilla is next to nothing) is not only going to be harder to spot for raids, but are raiders really gonna waste their time with a shack of garbage in it lol?

Ah, I think the issue is that my base is shown as a watchtower on the map. Not sure why, since it's just a simple house. Level 2 might be more suitable for my needs in that case.

Should be compatible with virtually any mod that doesn't change this exact value as well. Also won't work for modded raids, since that value would need to be adjusted for them as well individually.

Are there any compatibility concerns with this and Forgotten Buildings and "more building"? I have but a swamp house in Shark, yet ended up with a Swamp Ninja raid incoming. Any plans on potential compatibility patches?

Vanilla mechanics prevent you from building bases anywhere but in cities at the start, which is pretty bad imo.

Thanks for this. It was always odd that such a tiny outpost would get the attention of anyone really, much less the more powerful factions that are more than happy to wipe your tiny farm in the middle of nowhere out post haste but ignore legit bandit camps on main roads...

The key to this mod is not building walls or a gate. Without those you can keep a Level 1 outpost even with: a well, small shack (with some stuff inside it), farm fields, grain silo, iron refinery, stone mine, stone refinery, 1 windmill, and associated exterior storage bins. However, if you over build (especially inside the small shack you jump to Level 2 and cannot downgrade). So, this is best used to make a farm &/or mining camp outside a city that your purchased a building in. Without need to have any rooftop or indoor grain silo &/or refinery mods. A second use is, you can build up the "core" (farm fields and a stock pile of iron plates and building materials) of a new base without attracting nearby raids (you will still get visited by Nomads and Caravan traders though).

This makes a lot of sense because it gives the impression that it actually takes time for your outpost to be noticed, as opposed to vanilla where the entire world apparently has telepathy lol

Should work fine without one. Won't affect any raids already on their way, but future ones shouldn't trigger without the higher outpost levels.

Quite possibly one of the best simplest mods for kenshi. Great job on finding a way to do this and the simple implementation. I always hated how as soon as I built a house somewhere everyone from a 20 mile radius knew where I was.

I cannot define what each level is, and as mentioned before nobody is 100% certain on the formula. For instance, on my main save I have a small mining base near Stoat, at an iron and copper node. At this base I have a small shack, an iron and a steel processor, a stone mine, and several storage boxes all outside. Despite being a very functional outpost, and capable of raking in quite bit of money from crafting (bench inside shack), it is still listed as a level 0 outpost, and would thus not get raided if I used this mod.

But how about this. I'll make an alternate version for each town level. Which will allow players to use whichever version they wish. :)
