- They gone panic at the start for no reason
- Even when hit from explosive radius they start screaming xD
do what makes you happy
1. Higher sound priority. In the Unity tools, you can assign a sound priority of 0 - 256, with 256 being the lowest priority sound to play. If it's a lower number (eg. 5) it should be able to either be heard above other sounds, or sounds with a lower priority would be cancelled out so that there won't be more than 256 sounds. I think that's how it works, not sure.
2. I'm not really familiar with that one either, I didn't notice much of a distance testing it myself.
3. Kill Amount, again, I'm not very familiar with
4. Yeah, nothing I can do about that. This is somebody else's script, not my own work. I just added the voices into it.
I tested it with 10 bots all on the enemy side, none on mine, using both single shot weapons and weapons which take multiple shots to kill.
I believe I quieted out the death sounds.
I'll conduct this test again, just to make sure but, i need to ask a few questions to make sure the test is right.
Does a higher number in sound priority make them less likely to say the line or more likely too?
Does a higher number in sound distance make the sound closer or farther?
Also what is RO2 Voices Kill Amount?
I also noticed that already dead bodies will make sound if you kick, shoot, or hit them
You can try my Callouts Test pack, it has a more updated script. No injury lines apart from friendly fire stuff however.
Nice mod, though I have an issue, some "hit/injured" sounds are way too long, its fine if its a death.
To elaborate when someone cries out in pain like that for so long, its likely because the injury they got incapacitated them, making them unable to fight at all, u may as well call them dead.
Note that getting shot in a non fatal area (ex: thigh) feels like a painful burning sting, though under adrenaline, u may not feel much, either way its a bit easy to suck it up. However having the shot hit bone, it becomes very painful (ex: ribcage), it can cause much more damage. The bone shattering and triggering other nearby nerves or bouncing the bullet around in the body causing heavy damage to multiple areas and some organs. This is likely to lead to incapacitation or death.
Getting shot in the chest is enough to incapacitate or kill someone, making them unable to fight. The bullet will likely hit the bone at some point, and the bullet will be forced to bounce around inside the body, a chest shot will hurt a lot more, since a lot more things are going to be damaged, and will be very hard to suck up, so one may cry out in pain for a longer time.
So when you shoot an ai, they cry out like that for 15ish seconds yet get up scott free as if nothing happens, it just not right.
I feel like some of the longer sounds in the "hit" which have long screaming should be relegated to the death sound.
