as for the X-parasite, perhaps replace the shadow orb or bedazzled nectar with "infected armor plating" (reference to fusion) or replace bedazzled nectar or shark bait pet with the Skultera with the item being replaced with "Alien Fossil" or something like that.

maybe make one an eticoon (the monkey looking things from super metroid that are supposed to teach you how to wall jump)
