Is it possible to safely edit map_regions.tga? I was trying to change the coordinates of two settlements (not adding any new regions), but after editing map_regions.tga and deleting map.rwm my game crashes when I try to start the campaign (I made backup file of course). Any ideas on what am I doing wrong?

I am facing a persistent crash (signal 11, SIGSEGV 11). I play as the Germania faction and the game simply crashes giving the aforementioned error.

My specs:
Linux Ubuntu 22.04
GPU: NVIDIA RTX A2000, nvidia kernel version: 550.107.02
32 GB RAM

Anyone has faced a similar problem?

Please add more pictures to the steam workshop so other people can see how good this mod is! I only knew it was good after downloading it. Please add a map photo showcasing all the factions territories, this would many people getting to know this good mod.

Can t play the Mundus Magnus, it s always crashing my game. Does that have something to do with the enhanced graphics that i downloaded too, or is the map outdated?

I wish someone would update this Mundus Magnus map mod and also make a version for Barbarian Invasion. It's out of date and Rome Remastered isn't going to get any more updates. So it just would need to be updated one last time.

Not at all, the merchants are still there. And besides, he didn't touch the merchants' file.
Me, I use his Mod with only one other Mod which increases trade profits. So if there was no merchant, I would know.

This should work fine on the new 2.0.4 beta - if you're going to start a new campaign please start on the 2.0.4 beta as save games may not be compatible!

@makanyane Thanks for your reply, yes I can still play on, it was just I have never had a failed campaign before, I am confident I could have won the long campaign, but didn't have enough time for the short. Great map though its really appreciated. Thanks again!

@Blind Side, I don't think that's possible sorry, I think you'd need to change the save itself and I'm not sure there's a way to do that...

doesn't RR/RTW give you the option to play on despite the time out? (I'm probably thinking of the later games...)

@makanyane Thanks very much, yes the launcher had disabled the mods when reset it worked ok again. I was playing as Parthia on a short campaign but had trouble reaching the Selucid settlements before time ran out. Do you know if I can reload an earlier save and edit the script to change the campaign from short to long? Thanks

Hi, I was working on porting an old mod i made for myself a long time ago from Rome 1 to Remastered. Would you mind if I adapted it to this map if I decided to upload it to the workshop when i'm done?

@makanyane I´ve tested some scenarios too in the last days. The campaigne i startet before the hotfix doesnt work even if i repair the game files and load your mod. But if i start a new campaigne your mod works perfectly fine.

The new hotfix unfortunately affects your mod. If i start a new campaigne, the game crashes to desktop every time in the 7th or 9th round. Its when you click to end the round when the game crashes, mostly on the seleucid faction.

I'm told that hotfix shouldn't actually have affected mods. When there's a Steam update the launcher can disable (switch off) all mods, is that what happened? And if so can you re-select them?

I am not usually into maps but have enjoyed playing your map, many thanks. Unfortunately the new update today has stopped me reload my current very enjoyable campaign, the only other mod I was playing was the restored units. Do you know if your mod is compatible with the new update? It would be great to finish my campaign somehow? Many thanks

@frogman no that won't affect the campaign - I didn't include a revised custom_locations file, so it's using the vanilla coordinates - sorry about that! I'll see if there is a revised one anywhere that matches the map...

@Medve - not by me, I'm in the middle of doing a medieval mod on a British Isles map for Remastered... I think a few people are working on it as a base though.

I am encountering a bug with custom battles. The settings for the fight and some screenshots can be found here: https://imgur.com/a/e7izY6E

TLDR: The entire battlefield will be flooded when I load in and everyone is dead.

Question: Will his affect the campaign at any point? For example when I'm fighting at 'Italian Lowlands'?

I've been using the files of this mod as the basis for figuring out how to mod maps in RR, but I've run into two bottlenecks currently.
#1- How do I modify the size of the frame.cas to fit a map with different proportions to vanilla, ITWE doesn't have an option for adjusting this file that i could find, but i know that since mundus magnus has a well fitting mosaic frame on the edge of the map despite it's size it should be possible
#2- How do I modify the large radar map that shows up when you fullscreen the minimap. the regular minimap works fine and matches my modified map but the large fullscreen version still shows the mundus magnus version despite me replacing all the files it could be using in the base and imperial campaign folders

should be a temporary fix if anyone wants to get old saved games to load on the mod - you need to be subscribed to both and select both and put the fix ABOVE the full MM map mod in your mods list

Sorry about that... I'm new to Steam modding, I'm used to forum distribution where you can just say v1.3 is out and let people choose to download it when convenient!

So it seems that wasn't save game compatible! :steamthumbsdown: Unfortunately attempting to change it back now would break any games that have been started on the new version!

aaahhh - the change on 13th Aug (I knew I shouldn't have done it on the 13th!) required a new map.rwm as it included the resources change in descr_regions

are you guys that are having save game problems trying to load one that was from 12th august or earlier?
