I just revisited this mod and experienced no crashing after following the new instructions.

I can't say for sure it will work in all maps unfortunately, due to the way other authors set their maps up. The instructions are for a clean slate map.

Instant CTD when trying to load a copy of the Castle map w/ added cannon after following all instruction, no more and no less, to the letter.
