I can confirm the terran autocannon is nerfed compared to the other faction auto cannons. It's useless as it is now.

@Dronin Check that against the other autocannons in the mod. They all use the same bullet effect. The only change made to the Terran autocannon for VRO is the hull strength. All other changes are done to the bullet. Changing that just for the Terran AC will change it for all ACs in the mod and that's not desirable

I'm also getting the issue with the Terran Autocannon Mk1 that does 85MJ per hit for a total of 119MJ.

@nocturnae_Incarnate Weapons with high alpha damage and long range are "High Power" in general in VRO. I do need to do a pass over the weapons in the mod, but I just haven't had time to.

I love this mod, but are all of the terran weapons supposed to be high-power? Basically all of them can only be mounted in a high-powered slot which REALLY limits their usage compared to the singularity cannon. Perhaps a few choices for long or short range options in regular L spots compared to the HEMPC cannon?

Is this mod still up to date? It hasn't been changed in a year but the WVE base mod has had new weapons added since then.

@shilum_nehum - I could not reproduce your issue in my game. The issue mentioned earlier with the M Autocannon turrets is present in @Luca's mod for the base game, so it's an issue there

@DasMoss - All the autocannons from this mod use the same damage definitions from the Bullet file. That is how @Luca designed it in the main mod. There is something else at play there. I wasn't able to even find any errors in the logs of the game showing issues.

@shilum_nehum - I saw an issue with this where I could only see the Terran M Autocannon, but all the other M-sized turrets I could put on any ship.

Yeah the Terran autocannon turret must have gotten missed for sure, 85MJ output is pretty poor

I don't think this is working properly but I'm not sure. Teladi and Paranid Proton Auto's have VERY drastically different stats and the Terran Auto has what looks like non VRO stats. I may just be wrong though.

@Vollhov - You likely don't have the mod enabled then. Those number do not match what's in the current release XML files for the TER Railgun

@AzoorFox - Does it need an update? Since this largely pulls from the parent mod and simply rebalances the weapons for VRO, I'll need to know if there are specific things you see are having issues.

A quick note - the VRO Mod maintainer has noted that VRO is NOT balanced for the Timelines scenarios. It's impossible to do so due to their nature. This balancing will also only apply to Universe/Sandbox mode.

If you believe it is a good idea, maybe you could try to upgrade both the terran and commonwealth auto cannon turrets range, damage and maybe even projectile speed to help them keep up with the other turrets VRO provides weapon wise as a suggestion. But other than that great mod.

Hi, I recently subscribed this this mod, and thus far really like it - I'm just curious as to why I can't get access to Terran Large and XL ships - as engines and other equipment is not available to make ships valid for purchase? Is there something I've missed? Cheers and thanks for the great work!

@Patrol22 @Richy - Not sure what happened but the ammunition XML tag seems to have done the trick. Need to do some more testing as the damage output seems really really low and it's supposed to be a high alpha, low DPS weapon

@Patrol22 - it doesn't necessarily need a firing rate in the Encyclopedia. Few, if any, of the VRO turrets or bullet macros define a firing rate either. It could be that they can't hold the target long enough to fire. I'll test with a stationary target

Railguns arent working at all. they point at target but never fire. it might be the base mod and not this patch as there is some complaints on nexus.

I am with Vollhov on railgun change. It should be similar to lance: high range, high damage, high accuracy but low dps and tracking. Split version should have shorter range and higher dps similar how their lance is balanced. I'd say something like 21k range 1.2k dps for Terran version and 18k 1.5k dps for Split.

@Vollhov - I'll look at the railgun, but it's a freaking railgun. It should do a lot of damage and have crappy tracking, otherwise it won't fit the theme of VRO which is that every weapon has a unique place/role compared to other weapons

@Tax thanks for pointing that out. This mod was created before I changed the SVE VRO mod to a patch instead of a Standalone mod.

@EagleDelta The mod description says that the SVE VRO version is standalone, however the SVE VRO says that it requires the standard SVE. It might be useful to edit the description here just in case someone runs into any issues.

@Vollhov Probably won't be creating a whole new station-specific L Railgun. This is just a VRO patch. As such any new/separate weapons will only come from the mainline mod.
