the randomized horsemen feel a bit off tbh, both ost wise and logic wise.

...I think Repentagon alters the Beast fight a bit, but I'm not sure in what ways it does so.

Does this work with Repentagon? I've experienced some issues, and I'm trying to sort out why they happened.

mod is glitched I think, death just stands there and the beast does a similar thing. it might be because of moms contact

Hello, i have this mod in combination with Mega Conquest. Every time Conquest spawns the next horseman also spawns, the game thinks conquest is already dead


Also not sure if this mod is the cause, but normal death once just didnt spawn and soft locked the fight

Is there a possibility to add settings or sliders for stuff like Beasts Armor value or Idle time to manually adjust how hard you want the fight to be?

Ultra Death and phase skip issues should be fixed now thanks to kittenchilly! There were some changes in the rep patches that broke the mod.

something fucked up in the transition to 1.7.6 and now famine, pestilence, and war just skip their second phase. It'd be super rad if you figured out a way to fix this.

Ultra death glitched out and wandered to the right side of the screen, made boss unbeatable so i tried to exit and continue to fix it but i ended up dying anyways so my point is this mod is fucked dont download it unless you wanna waste an hour to die for no reason

You can use the Mod Config Menu API for the mod configuration so we can have all the configs in the same place

is there any way you can make it so ipecac and haemolacria arent impossible to hit during the beast fight? they have extremely large arcs that make it hard to hit the beast

I've spend 4 hours trying to figure out why my game was crashing on launch and it was this mod. Is there any way to fix this? I would really like to have this mod installed but the game just wont launch with it

@DeadInfinity As it turns out, the issues I was having were due to a weird interaction with the 'mod profiler' mod, moreso on the end of Encyclopedia I think (This mod wasn't causing me issues with mod profiler, but Encyclopedia was. The issues were actually different based on if I also had BEAST TWEAKS enabled, with the double input thing happening with BEAST TWEAKS, and a forced auto-fire happening without BEAST TWEAKS.)

Is it possible to make the options use Mod Config Menu instead of Dead Sea Scrolls? Having this and Encyclopedia causes weird conflicts when both are enabled (likely some sort of issue with Dead Sea Scroll's programming)

Is there a chance you can make a version of the mod that only changes the beast itself? i like the mod but i honestly prefer the horsemen to be in the normal order since its quite weird for the music to go from near completion to stage 1 when you fight famine, unless you can fix it to where the music isnt tied to the horsemen themselves and is tied to if you are on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th horseman

I'm not sure if this is able to be fixed but this mod kind of works oddly with the Health Bar for The Beast and Mother mod. The health bar won't appear for the first horseman that spawns, it'll work normally for the middle two horsemen, but the last horseman will have The Beast's health bar, and The Beast itself will have no health bar at all. Other than that the fight works fine but I thought I'd report that in case there was anything you could do about it

@Lilith Unfortunately, it's not that easy. I had to essentially reimplement phase 1 and 2 of the Beast fight in lua in order to merge them together.

Mind the noobish question, but where did you find the code to change these values in the resources folder? I've been trying to change the hp percentage that each phase occurs on (since phase 1 and 3 are too easy to make up 2/3rds of the fight imo) and couldn't find it anywhere.

@Q Thanks for the reports. I think the latest patch should fix all of these errors! The RNG one was especially odd; turns out if you have certain other mods it'd fix itself, so I never caught it in testing.

Not sure if I've just been unlucky, but the couple times I've entered the fight with this mod installed, the order is always the same: War, Famine, Pestilence, then Death. Also, when Pestilence is in 2nd phase, he never uses the fly ball attack and only uses the bullet geyser over and over.
Another minor thing, though it doesn't really matter if it's fixed or not, is that Death's death animation doesn't have him sink down before exploding. He just floats in place and then explodes.
I still like this mod for spicing up a really fun fight. Thanks for making it!

TBH i kinda wish the fight was a bit harder, the horsemen feel waaaaay too squishy, especially death since they in like 90% of runs dont even get to use their best attack

@Apollyon Pal Thanks for the reports. Added the appear sounds for famine, pestilence, and war back, + fixed that war bug. Lemme know if you notice anything else off. Also added a new command `beasttweaks` that can toggle the mod on and off easily.

@DeadInfinity Yeah that's much better, music works as it should although I feel like there are still a few missing sound effects (could just be placebo, but there are definitely some I know are missing like Pesty's intro noise). There was also a weird bug where War wouldn't do his charge attack during phase 1, he'd just rush forward a few inches and then stop to do the bomb throws again.

@Apollyon Pal I fixed all of the issues you reported, to the best of my ability. There'll be a bit of charge flickering / funkiness after killing famine, and certain other items like bags will be a little buggy, but hopefully it isn't nearly so noticeable / problematic for gameplay.

you know, this is irrelevant, but it absolutely didn't occur to me that The Beast was a girl up to this very moment. i mean, i knew it was literally just Mom, but it legitimately didn't register in my brain.

ADDENDUM: A few sound effects seem to be missing, primarily during the horsemen's death anims. The horsemen seem to occasionally not give charges when killing them as well.
