It's great to know what you think of the track, and even better to know how we can improve it. Side thrusters sound like a good idea, but I feel that it may remove much of the challenge of the track.
The split may not be all that useful, but it does help make the racer feel like they have a bit more freedom to choose, and I have seen Elspaz pull off rather impressive jumps on it. :)
The bridge, yes... It is true that you need to jump and very much fight against gravity to get past that, and it is very challenging... Even so, I'm still very keen on having a spinning platform, so, any ideas on how make it easier?
I love the sound of a 16 player race. :)
Alright, well I suppose the maximum of 6 players part could be removed.
Ah, now hovertanks and improved racing is something I can agree on. Elspaz and I are both perfectly fine with you recycling our tech, and I'd love to see what you can do with it! :)
I took some laps on it, and the idea is quite sound.
However, it's not the best execution I can think of..
The cars; they have absolutely no turning stability at all. Side boosters should do the trick. The track isn't the best, either, as there is a strange, almost pointless split a quarter the way through, where taking the left is absolutely pointless unless you wish to pull a jump, which generally results in your craft's destruction afterward. And then, the spinny bridge is too fast - you can't use it to traverse to the other side, you need to jump. I don't have a problem with that, though - it enforces some difficulty and you learn to control yourself better in gravity. While flying. In a car! :D
I'll be honest, it could support as many as 16 (the max at the moment) people at once, it'll just be a hectic race. And that's fine.
I kinda want to recycle this tech for a hovertank battle, or improve on the racing idea. Would you be okay with that?
