There is a good reason to update this. Mods that add in other defense platforms are also kept alive in this mod. So for NSC2 the defense fortress will not be destroyed.

@Azona I would also like this mod to be updated. I like putting a few different defense platform designs around my starbases. If I try to rely on the policy, it will randomly build my 3-4 designs at random so I could end up with far fewer of some designs than I would like.

@Azona I think it would be nice to update this, as the mod mentions itself, it feels nice to not micromanage defense plattform replacements. It also doesn't feel too player sided, if the AI captures one of of your systems retaking it can be quite the hassle.

I'm working on updating most of these mods.

Sins changes to game it self as mention before we got Eternal Vigilence now I wondering if this need to be updated and fixed or just let it die. half free platforms from Eternal Vigilence is already nice enough I think and I really do not see a point for this to be updated.

so yeah that's my opinion.

This does still work in the newest update. Too well, in fact lmao with the new change to Eternal Vigilance, which spawns free platforms every month, lategame stations can be in the hundreds of thousands in EVERY system

This seems to work for normal starbases, but if you have a mod that adds more tiers, they die when your starbase level is beyond the base game.

This mod still works for 3.12, and it is fully compatible with NSC3's higher-tier defense platforms.

Aw. Was hoping for a mod with a series of techs that benefited platforms rather than new station levels (incompatible with shipsets) and boosting the defenses of the enemy (while resetting for a winning defense).

Don't like platforms sticking around. Oh well will try something else.

I am noticing that defense platforms won't stay disabled in a fight. I've watched several fights both with my platforms and AI platforms when they get disabled they'll say disabled for a second then get a few points of hull and armor healing and pop right back into the fight. I've actually lost a few close fights because my forces couldn't focus on the starbase long enough because they had to keep diverting firepower to the platforms that won't stay down.

@LennyTheLing could you detail how you added the penalty, or to what file? I'm having the same issue and its a bit frustrating.

Not having to constantly rebuild platforms makes this mod too good not to run though.

I did a quick & dirty fix with applying a -1 hull/armor repair penalty to disabled platform, it seems to be fixing the issue.

There seems to be a bug where defensive platform with regenerative hull tissue instantly reactivate.

It seems that if an AI or player have a regen bonus significant enough it can just revive the platforms forever and since they don't get disabled it makes capping a starbase hard enough
