The animation on the horses is substandard. It is fine for a mod but not something that is worth charging money for. If people want horses these are free to download.

Horses eat crops but you have to build feeding yards to get them to eat crops.

I agree with Hydraliks and would like to see a carriage for large waste as it breaks the immersion having to use the Steam driven version when starting the game in 1900. Still a great mod though.

This mod is brilliant and funny at the same time. I love the way the horse legs are animated. This mod is great for interacting with rural less profitable towns in a cost effective way.

I'm running into 2 problems with it however
1. No carriage for large waste container loading. This mod seems to be a good cover for almost all vehicle types pre-1960 EXCEPT large waste container transport. Seems like a accident/oversight.

2. Faster vehicles will not pass horses for some reason. Given that horses and carriages are the slowest thing on the roads this is kinda a major problem. I don't know if it is something specific to the horses or if the game is confused and does not know how to handle such slow vehicles.

When I tried this with a 1900 start, there was no waste collection wagon that counted as a large waste container, thus demolition of buildings did not work, as they require a large garbage container pickup to remove the waste. Could you add a horse wagon that counts for a large waste container pickup?

I would love to see a horse-drawn tram - those were present f. e. in Warsaw till 1908 (removing process lasted to 1916).

Since you got the skills to do mods like this I thought I'd feed you a few ideas for more early start variety.

- A herd of cattle. Technically it would be a vehicle, but could look like just a bunch of cattle with a person leading them. Slow, but high capacity.

- Hauler. A man with a cart. Slow and low capacity, but cheap and uses no fuel. Variations for aggregate, open and covered hull road vehicle and a forklift version. Don't know exactly how vehicle stations work, but it might be possible to create a CO/DO that has a lot of small vehicle bays so you could save space and still get a lot of haulers working at your industry.

An other thing to make a choice of vehicle more interesting I made all the different versions with different amount of horses move at the same rate, but carry different amounts.

Capacity I used:
One horse = 1.2t
Two horses = 2.6t
Four horses = Original amount

I'm no horse expert, but a pretty sure a horse can carry more than a single man + 30kg. Google tells me a horse can carry about 200kg. Let's say half of that is the raider + raiding gear. The 100kg we have left is enough electronic components to build roughly 350m of 0.65mw powerlines.

Not bad for early game I would say.

The carts carry 3tons. A man on a horse would only carry 1% of that or about 30kg.

I like this mod!

Any chance we might see a "Pony express"? Would love to use a single man on fast horse to deliver the minimal amounts of electronic and mechanical components needed early game. Would also be great for supplying small stores.

So in essence a man on a horse who can carry half of what a covered hull cart can and has a top speed of around 35km/h.

Use the heavy steam crawler to pick up the large containers. It's availability starts in 1880.

Is there any way you could take the waste collection wagon and make a version for big containers? At the moment the earliest one is the Skd 706RT from 1958, without it I can't make any industry.

Until her updates the mod you can just go into the workshop folder, copy one of the "truck" folders, rename it and edit the script.ini file. Change to $RESOURCE_TRANSPORT_TYPE RESOURCE_TRANSPORT_WASTE and change the $NAME_STR "Horse Drawn Waste". I also added $OBJECT_VEHICLE Waste into the workshopconfig.ini but idk if that is needed. Works fine for me

Not sure what's wrong but for some reason at game start all my vehicles find a problem with the horse feeders and cant refuel even though there shouldn't be any problems, there's road access, full of crops, wat do

Actually, and this has always been the case, I have been using gasoline to fuel the horses. They don't really use the feeders for some reason. But I will try this next time I do a 1800s playthrough, i'm well into the early 1900s now so i'm getting cars.

For some reason, and I have no clue why, the horses can only enter a gas station or a custom house 1 at a time even if there is multiple lanes. It causes huge traffic jams once you get into the mid game and is potentially a cause for a downward spiral where you'd die. It'd made me have to turn off realistic mode, since I've been playing since 1800.

You don't need plastics because the "Horse Feed converter" will convert crops+fabric+wood into other materials.
