I think @Ark has the right idea RE keybinding, but for a whole different reason. R3 can be used to fire tears, and so can also be accidentally held down - particularly in high-stress boss battles or other situations. far better to let the user choose a button that's never pressed normally.
For example, I have a PS3 controller, and the big middle button never gets used. ideal restart button.

Similarly, Xbox controllers have a few buttons in the middle that'd do far better as they aren't in constant use.
