AI Empire Halberds arent using pikewall. AI Tomb King Spearmen are not using spearwall.
EDIT: seems ai use is disabled entirely. Wonder if an issue caused this. The old one the ai used the abilities without issue for the most part except for spears if i recall.

i love this mod, but sadly it makes Ai cavalry and spearmen kinda stupid....stupider
spearmen typically wont engage with the rest of the army, and cavaly will swap formation at the last second and the stop infront of my lines at sit there and let me shoot them

this works for dwarves. just the shield wall formation for obvious reasons. doesnt work for custom units.

SFO exclusive Tehenuhauin faction unit Red Crested Skinks (shields) don't have the regular shield wall ability like the normal skink counterpart

And by the way, the icons looks great, Kinggelbe is the name of the artist? If he/she releases a "icon pack" kind of mod for Warhammer 2 and 3, that will be a popular mod with the community for sure. I don't have anything against the artists at CA, but they did only a decent job with these games imo, there is potential for a lot of improvements. I wonder if they don't went too far because Games Workshop has some harsh directives that prohibits further customization

This looks pretty cool. I only used a shield wall mod that worked exclusively with dwarfs, if I "activated" the formation on a siege battle, at the walls, the game crashed immediately. I wonder if your mod has the same problem, most likely you assigned formations everywhere, idk if the AI can use a formation and then crash the game at siege battles

Winterheart Guards is missing Spear Wall (Eternal Guard Spear Shield ROR)
Loec's Tricksters is missing Pike Wall (Wardancer Spear ROR)
IDK if Wardens of Cythral should have the Shield Wall (Wildwood Rangers ROR) because they are glaive infantry with shields?

thanks for update,it surely be fixed,but in Custom combat test,when AI cavalry use cavalry formations and meet the spearmen,AI cavalry will circle around the first front row. Probably because AI cavalry will not attack spearmen?

In order to maintain the formation, many soldiers remained motionless until death.Will this cause melee units to be more easily defeated than before?I have no ill will, I also like neat formations,It doesn't matter if it can't be modified.

@CastledCa I just played a custom battle test with Phoenix Guard,found that after AI used the formation, although the melee attack and melee defense values were higher, AI Phoenix Guard‘s attack frequency was too low and to lost the battle. I'm concerned if the enemy melee units will be weaker to maintain the formation during the champion.

@NoSkill They're base stats. The formations give them boosts, but don't effect their base stats. If I edited the file for their base stats then mods like SFO would have vanilla unit stats instead of their own custom ones.

Just the ones that change stats of the units directly (like +2 attack/defens)or also indirectly, like changes to vigour stats?

Formations without the proper visuals are missing something , sadly :/

@NoSkill I easily could fix the animation issue, but the problem is that I'd have to edit the values that would make it override mods that edit unit stats.

Appreciate the mod and your work, and yes, we now have the formations we want, but the problem is that they're not actually cosmetically performing the formations.

@CastledCard There seems to be issues of the units players and ai use when fighting each other. They tend to stand still or switch animations quickly and tend to struggle using more of the models in a unit when they fight.
A few other users have already posted about how the models seem to have the same issue as well

The same "error" as the others the -IA- does not move when acquiring a formation. ( I cannot continue the campaign if I deactivate the MoD :steamsad: )

If your holding your spear/polearm in place in the ground to counter a charge or holding a heavy shield and spear, it should probably negate melee attack and make them more vulnerable to flanked attacks.

Also, -20% speed is very very low, they are practically immobile when doing this position.

This mod needs a fix, whenever ennemy units use a formation, they stay still.
Also, can't desactivate this mod and keep loading my save.
