I love your CAS missions. It would be awesome of you had continued with this sort of missions, sad to see you leave...

Good mission! The real background gives it a unique touch.
Leonard 6 Apr, 2019 @ 1:18pm
Very well made mission, radio chatter really ads to the experience. 10/10
PoppaCapnurass 6 Mar, 2018 @ 4:52am
An enjoyable short mission.

Though I really felt like letting loose, the author made a good choice in giving us only one weapon to take out the ground troops. Adding a few other targets would have really brought up the scenario. I was wanting more!!
saureco 29 Jan, 2018 @ 5:58pm
Yes. I saw the waypoint. However, once I wiped out the live fire range, there's no exit method besides simply Save & Quit, no? Would it be possible to update the scenario such that if you land *period* it measures mission fail/complete?
StrongHarm  [author] 28 Jan, 2018 @ 7:12pm
Saureco, there's a message during the end criteria which explains that you can exit the mission or rearm and continue on to the live fire exercise area for training. I believe it gives you a new waypoint as well.
saureco 27 Jan, 2018 @ 6:13pm
Well put together. Good radio chatter for imersion. End criteria (ie., RTB = mission complete) would be good to know we can exit.
Číža J 11 Jan, 2018 @ 5:33am
Perfekt mission thx :)

This mission gave me PTSD
Tungsten 25 Jul, 2017 @ 6:10am
Very cool mission. Really gives you goosebumps when teh guy screams over the radio "Help me! Look for me!"

I hope you'll consider making this one on the kunduz map with RHS equipment!
Pizza for Jonas Wagner 11 Jun, 2017 @ 12:31pm
I think you should add Hydra rockets because taking out every single one of the enemies precisely one by one is not that much fun to me. Other than that this mission is one of the good ones on the workshop.
MyNameDuck 30 Mar, 2017 @ 12:05pm
VERY WELL MADE I LOVE THAT YOU USED REAL COMBAT RECORDINGS VERY WELL DONE LOVED PLAYING IT
CW3 Stew 16 Mar, 2017 @ 5:43am
to the author i have yet to play this mission heard about it from a friend. When dealing with an online community you do well your gonna get haters who have nothing better to do ignore them. if your content is getting attention at all it is a positive thing boring and poorly made things get passed over.

Great mission, completed it second run, didn't expect OPFOR to move as much as they did. Rearm after gave me the 3 FPS bug, have submitted that to the forums might help in fixing it.

People, remember to read the guide etc and ajust music volume to your liking.

I love this misson so much, the trolls have no idea what their doing
Reaper 8 Feb, 2017 @ 10:38am
Holy shit this is hands down one of the best mission on the workshop. Everything about it is incredible. The love and dedication put into making this mission is tremendous. All the small details, like the A-10 "history" board, the calibration of the UAV, the people repairing the damaged A-164, the guy saluting you when you take off and last, but not least, the radio chatter, all add to the feeling of immersion and reality of the mission.

The actual mission is simple: go to X, kill bad guys, return to base. But the context in which the mission is presented (i.e. friendly troops are pinned down and need your help asap) adds to the sense of urgency and realism of the mission.

The fact that this was based on a real life situation just sends chills down my spine. Congratulations sir!

TL:DR Play the fucking mission now, you won't regret it.
Greybeard 28 Nov, 2016 @ 6:46pm
It has taken me many, many moons to MC this scenario.*** Spoiler Alert *** I finally used the map to see where the ENY were and adjusted my fire on every pass. I beat it on the first try after that but after a long, long time of trials and errors. I have little experience with Arma but this is a great mission IMO...
Lynx_1 9 Oct, 2016 @ 5:31am
Amazing mission! If you are a fan of realism, you have to try this. And BTW sound is not a problem, just adjust audio effects a bit and put some more volume to speakers.
EagleShark 12 Sep, 2016 @ 2:37am
good mission, except the helicopters never came, they just hovered.
EagleShark 12 Sep, 2016 @ 2:11am
Really, so you are saying combat is Ear Rape. *He said whilst stroking his beard*
JoJo 12 Jun, 2016 @ 3:27am
Ear Rape: The Mission

How do I lower the volume of the radio chatter? Nothing happens when I turn down the volume in the audio menu and if I turn down Windows master volume all the other in game sounds become way too quiet for the radio chatter to be bearable.
Freitag 30 Apr, 2016 @ 2:48am
best cas mission i've played so far.

you need skills to gather information from the radio messages you receive from the infantry on ground to localize your target.
MartiniMarter🍸 4 Mar, 2016 @ 8:01am
and i have no idea where to shoot
MartiniMarter🍸 4 Mar, 2016 @ 7:56am

That voice is a way too loud tho

Very nice mission though too easy.

Harm, it's a shame that you're not doing ArmA3 content anymore. I hope you're still playing. Stay in touch.
Ninpo 23 May, 2015 @ 1:17am
This is my first Mission played in Arma 3, and it really intense because you hear the actual sound of the guys calling for help...
YongTong 2 Apr, 2015 @ 6:45am
Is there way that i can use the A-10 from a Mod (how to span)
ICE_AGE2 22 Mar, 2015 @ 10:09am
man that sucks
GAKB 10 Mar, 2015 @ 6:03am
This is a very well made and challenging mission. Took a few attempts to complete it, after doing so I treated myself to some live fire exercise at the range. Great work!
Arkhir 20 Feb, 2015 @ 12:00pm
Lovely.
krowman 19 Feb, 2015 @ 12:54am
Really liked this mission. The radio chatter really brings a sense of urgency.
Wookiejedi 9 Feb, 2015 @ 7:23pm
I just returned to this mission while using the new "mighty GAU-8" mod.Oh wow!now that is how that gun should work-not like the vannila Arma version. Now it actually can destroy tanks the way the GAU-8 was built to in real life. :D

I'm late to the party, but I wanted to give a big thumbs up to the obvious effort put into your missions.

I stumbled into your work when trying to look up some form of AI JTAC cooperation for human pilots. There are numerous addons with simple AI piloted CAS integration, but you seem to be the only one who has done the opposite within your missions. I was wondering if there is any easy way to implement your AI JTAC functionality into other missions. I mostly play alone, using ALIVE to create a battlefield. The problem is that flying CAS is hardly an option unless I want to fly aimlessly looking for targets.

If you are willing to, I'd appreciate an accepted friend request to discuss some of your features. I'm DGeorge85 on the BIS forums if that is better for you. If your AI JTAC functionality was built into a module for the editor or something similar it would bring a lot to the table, especially for those like myself looking to have a simple way to set up dynamic CAS scenarios.

"NOTICE: I'm no longer supporting this mission or creating new ones within ARMA3. There are too many jerks in the community these days and I've moved on. If you need assistance you might try posting on the BIS forums. Have fun. "

Most unfortunate, been having a blast with all of your stuff.
flart plungus 10 Nov, 2014 @ 2:32am
This is an amazing mission! The sheer amount of realism immerses you into feeling like you're a CAS pilot attempted to save those spec ops! I loved this man, awesome job.

LOVE IT. The Voice's PERFECT and the effort your put into the base (with all the A10's being repaired and the commotion) That is what I truely like to see in missions - not lifeless bases with unrealistic crap going on.
Sqwee 20 Sep, 2014 @ 4:51pm
Fun mission, its easy to tell you put a lot of hardwork into it. I haven't been able to beat it yet, I have a hard time once the squad is oscar mike but I still have fun with it and its good practice for attack runs with jets. Thanks for the mission.
Mike Oxlong 5 Sep, 2014 @ 3:33pm
Awesome mission!
StrongHarm  [author] 2 Sep, 2014 @ 12:49pm
Too many people around Arma3 like this dunadan shithead these days. Not worth the grief.
dunadan 1 Sep, 2014 @ 1:03am
Thank you. I gave you a second one for your trouble. You can delete this comment too.
StrongHarm  [author] 31 Aug, 2014 @ 4:16pm
Dunadan, you gave me a thumbs down because you couldn't use the custom features I created.. although they're clearly explained in the mission overview? This used to be a good and honorable community.. I'm just about done with it.

Calibrate the drone to your aircraft while in the hanger. I've created a shortcut to enter the view to make it less intrusive during flight. Spacebar x2 to enter and exit the view.
Valtros 31 Jul, 2014 @ 8:22pm
You deserve more recognition than anyone here can give you, your missions truly are on a professional level. Few people will ever make missions as good as you do, even fewer will make better ones.

Keep up the good work.

Thanks a bunch, Deanomartino11! Glad you're enjoying it as much as I am.
D. Deano 27 Jul, 2014 @ 6:32pm
Absolutely stunning, you made the perfect mission. I've replayed this countless times and never have been disappointed once. If I could rate this 5 stars more than once, I would. Exellent work!
StrongHarm  [author] 13 Jul, 2014 @ 7:27pm
Thanks Valtros! I wish more people could find this mission to play it.. someone sabatoged it with a bunch of negative ratings, so it's kind of back page. Maybe they thought it would help them with the contest to knock my mission down into obscurity.. I don't know, but I hope more people get to enjoy it one day. Thanks for the kind word.
