To the major fps hit i believe its hisii causing an infinite hisii creation loop, i was just in the fungal caves with majorly bad fps, disabled the mod and found way too many hisii sitting in a pool of the poly

this mod seems to have caused my game to lock up into 1-10 fps when reaching hisi base, turned off this mod and it was gone. might be because im using other mods as well

@kirikusan the mod is not discontinued!.... I am just very very slow... the update is actually mostly done, I've just been busy updating the Apotheosis mod

@Gabisz this is caused by a weird incompatibility with the mod and Apotheosis, I think it might be fixed in my EVENTUAL update... but beyond that for now just swap around the mod order of Worse Enemies and Apotheosis it should work just fine

Not sure what conflict is causing this, but the rightmost portal to the Holy Mountain never spawns while this mod is active. There's just a huge shaft from the bottom of the Mines to the Coal Pits.

Is this mod discontinued?
I wish to contribute and/or write a continuation, if that is ok with creator. If not, I can just use my version locally while enemies are not updated.

the polymorphine used is specifically unstable polymorphine which only turns you into hiisi (which is why a certain enemy type bleeds it), significantly lessening the risk of being poly'd into a helpless creature, although the downside with it is that it lasts much longer than normal poly, I'll probably end up making a variant of unstable poly that lasts much shorter so you don't walk around as a hiisi for as long...

btw, the revamped attack effects are fun and quite challenging. The new sprites are refreshing, but they do sacrifice some enemy recognition. When I saw the Firecracker Goblin throwing bombs in Coal Pits, I laughed so hard I had to take my hands off the keyboard—it was just too funny! You're doing a great job! Except for the Polymorphine things...

i have to complain about the excessive amount of Polymorphine in the game! Sometimes, it’s mixed in with the corpses, and when you get too close, you suddenly transform! Why does the transformation take so long? I feel like a quarter of my gameplay time is just running around aimlessly as a random hiisi. After wreaking havoc in the hiisi base, I can’t even find a safe spot to land because the floor is just littered with Polymorphine! It’s so frustrating!

I've attempted doing this but last time I tried it ended up making poly instantly kill you, since it replaces the enemies with the worse version upon spawn and since your soul is in the vanilla enemy and it immediately gets replaced you just die.
Probably need to figure out how to fix that before doing it again. :p
I'll probably do it after I get (at the very least) Temple enemies done.

Damn would be awesome if this gets an update w a config option to make it a percentage chance that a "worse enemy" will spawn, and also more enemies across other biomes...

Would be like "blessed beasts" but way cooler and better

Feature, unstable poly turns you into hiisi, you’re thinking of chaotic poly that turns you into random enemies. Which still exists, just that hiisi don’t bleed it unlike unstable

A great mod, but when it's turned on, Unstable Polymorphin turns me exclusively into new hisis. It's useful, but I miss the polymorph in worms.

Is this a feature or a bug?

One of my favourite parts of this mod is the new attack Thunder Mage gets where they just yeet lightning at you with no accuracy like they're fed up with you dodging the charges

Currently it full replaces enemies, I do plan on making it a chance thing when I get done making worse versions for all the enemies though!

I said it before but: I really like your mod! The last added monsters look really badass.
I don't know if I asked you but: could you add the possibility that worse monsters are added to the original ones, instead of replacing them? With a probability that instead of spawn a normal monster, it spawns the worse version.

I'm sad that the eldari, possibly the most underwhelming enemy for me, has not been upgraded here. By the time you reach the vault, eldari gets oneshot before he can even throw his pitiful easy to dodge fireballs at you. the only thing that sucks about him is how much lava he makes

The bats are meant to be more annoying in that they spit slime at you and have slightly more health because of their armored look.

What is the change in the bats? They have a different texture but otherwise I see no difference. Also the great firefly appears to fire clusters of firebombs instead of fireballs.

quick suggestion, make the slime enemies in the mines bleed shock powder/have shock powder projectile trails. the toxic sludge isn't enough of a pain

That is not intended, I thought it was another mod I had installed that was causing it on my side like some Goki setting, guess not. I'll try to fix it in the next update.

After installing, all the potions are now lava potions, and it's a bit strange, it's not even mentioned in the description.
If I turn off the modification, then everything is fine again.
If this is part of a mod, and not a conflict of mods, can it be made customizable?

Awesome! Thanks to your mod, the 1st floor is finally interesting for a serious player. The longlegs are so much more interesting, before you just had to kill them in a row, now you have to be careful because they electrocute puddles and blood baths. Ve-ry Noyce! Thx!
