If your game crashes after the trains collide, it is probably due to the indestructible/chasis of one of the trains being damaged or bugged. the best way to fix this is to use a different mod that will make the front train car non-destructible. I use the vehicle enhancer mod which has an unbreaking mode in it. All you have to do is enter both trains and make them indestructible.

the best tips i can give you to not crash your game on this map:
1. lower render scale/shadow quality
2. download the performance mod and enable
