As the Mod Description states
"... compatible with mods that DON'T change the vanilla buildings

- The author has basically taken ALL vanilla buildings,
- taken their definition code from vanilla stellaris
--- From Date: Sep 25, 2021
- placed an additional line into each definition position_priority
- Stellaris itself has since changed those buildings (post Sep 25, 2021)

Hi duffychan07,
Just wanted to let you know, that I love that mod. But it seems to be kind of incompatible with the 3.3 Beta at least. When I use this some buildings get lost and are no longer available for build. Such as research lab.

So for anyone like me that wants to tweak the code of this mod to set your own building order, a big beware: a lot of the buildings are listed twice in the ethic_rebuild_buildings file and if you don't update both files you're gonna have a bad time.

Already setting up for it Duffy, but I plan on patching practically every mod that also adds buildings so it'll take a bit for it to come out.

I think this mod will be useless with every update, as you'll have to change all the vanilla buildings to change the order.

can agree with BigMitchy. This mod by itself not giving commerical zones merchant jobs from commerical enterpise mercantile tradition.

i just did some testing and found that when i have this mod active, and i play a merchant guild empire, the merchant job thats supposed to be given just isnt there for whatever reason

Actually a quick ctrl+f doesn't mention cytos or gene clinics anywhere in the mods codes. I think maybe the base game just has an autosort function again.

Oh but actually while I'm here the ministry of production should really autosort to before the alloy foundries and civilian industries. Ditto applies to similar resource based buildings.

tl;dr the noble estates building from aristocratic elite will always force it's way between gene clinics and clone vats, two pop growth buildings.

For RP reason I think it should get first priority, but by your sort order it should be down at the far end. Clone vats don't resort.

Actually just tested it now and it didn't resort clone vats at all. Left them way down the bottom after admin and housing buildings https://prnt.sc/1qly4xy

The mod isn't totally broken because I have seen buildings autosort when they need to upgrade. Occasionally push other buildings higher in the priority queue out of the way, which would be fine if they didn't leave them there after you finish upgrading.

Would it be possible to add a planetary decision to run a fresh check of placements and resort all buildings back into the priority queue?

hey i have actual feedback I'd love to share about how this mod runs if you're interested sometime i'm not kpinned to a lithoid colony ship. But I digress.

It bothers me that the mod autosorts gene clinics higher in order (right next to capital) than noble estates (which should really be where the capital pops live??)

Seems like a quick fix but I'm not expecting you to put a patch out just for lil ol me. But if there's some technical issue that explains it (maybe how building types are flagged) please let me know so I can learn to live with it.

PS: Please god let me know if you ever add a mod to manually sort buildings <3

I've skimmed through the mod files after learning it and found the file "ethic_rebuild_buildings.txt" in the mod files, which is not in the base game files. When I checked I noticed that it listed buildings like "building_colliseum", which didn't have a proper name and description when playing the game. I think that "ethic_rebuild_buildings.txt" is adding extra buildings which are now redundant when playing 3.0, so can you double check and see if that file is necessary?

Hello! Just wondering if it works for existing saves? Or does it needs some button to activate?

I have version 3.03 and I subscribed this mod, and put it on the top of load order list. But the buildings in game are still not sorted....
Checked the path and the mod files also seem to be intact.

With this mod active I have an option to build colloseum with gladiator jobs. It's cool but I don't think it is an advertised feature.

I don't have merchant jobs while using this mod. Instead there's only a line "job_mogul_effect_desc".

The civics classic seems to be modifying the vanilla buildings, so it doesn't seem to be compatible. I will make a patch in the near future.

Unfortunately I can't get this to take effect at either the start of my load list or at the end. must be some of my mods, like EUTAB, that it's incompatible with. Ah well.

this mod seems to be somewhat incompatible with ethics and civics classic, as it deletes some of the unique buildings it ads, as in you can not build them at all
