I test again with these strings in CBA compatibility setting, still not work.:steamfacepalm:

Puotek: 1. Yes, there is an option to enable headlamps with no headwear requirement.
2. No, the map will be dark, but the lamp itself works

My headlamps point to a close spot on the ground, which is not very useful. I guess it is working as intended?

Is it compatible with ACE? Can you use the headlamp as a flashlight on the map when using ACE?

Can you somehow make all headwear have a headlamp? Like add headlamps to all headwear instead of adding each and every single headwear to the list.

could you tell me where you add this stuff into the CBA setting? i found the file in user config in the CBA mod folder, but after i added it, it didnt work :(

any idea on how to debug the bind not working? i can see friend's headlamps, but I can't turn my own on even with the same helmets. even tried adding an alternate bind but still no luck

Mr Sanchez's stops working frequently, but yours is fine. I do like the two brightness settings on his, though. But otherwise nice job.

Yeah. Turns out when I executed it from the Debug Console it works fine, so needs to be in a postInit. It's the only line in the init.sqf script, and it's the only script in the mission folder! Was going mad for a bit! It requires a similar method to Kyclops EW mod, which means it need to initialize after everything else.

Has anyone managed to get the init.sqf method to add a headlamp? I've tried and failed multiple times.

Hello :) thanks for this mod looking forward to future updates!

I got one question though. Are you planning on changing the brightness depending on which light your on.

e.g red and blue are much harder to see for the enemy from a distance then standard "white" light due to the wavelenght of the light. Also one thing I'd wish for is if the are that is illuminated and/or also the distance could be a little higher for white light. Keep it as it is right now for Blue and make it a little smaller for red.

That's just from personal experience out in the field and from what I remember.
