3.7 updated the subspace engine so warp can return.

@Lazerwolf, the 3.0-3.1 Update broke that function and I like the ability to fix it sadly, if anyone thinks they can fix it then they are more than willing to try their hand.

Ok good, then it seems that the only the Wormhole may have goofed in the update. In the meantime, try redownloading the mod. Sometimes there can be errors on steam in that regard

my starbases have that component.

i have gotten the very first upgrade of wormholes, so the component is now level II

the ranges are still static all the time.

No, the Starbases that you build should boost the range of the ships wormhole drives. Look at the pics in the preview, do any of your starbases have that component? And I just wanna be sure, but you have researched the correct technology for it correct?

so, the range of ships ON starbases, is the exact same as ships that are out and about

Yes so that is the range of the ships themselves without the aid of active Starbase to boost that range. They only have a boosted range while in the system that has a Starbase

i'll try and be as bland as i can

i had a construction ship, a science ship, and a military fleet, none of 3 were upgraded at ALL (base warpdrives)

all the ships has a static (the same) range, no matter where they went, no matter if they were in enemy land, neutral land, or friendly land.

kinda? but being on a friendly starbase doesnt increase the range... like, the range is 100% the same no matter what i do, no matter how far i go

@Richard Mc Nutbuster So the range that changes is the range produced from a star base, the ranges on the ships warpdrives themselves stays the same. That is until you get jump drives. The Star Bases component that created the Wormhole links is what needs to be upgraded. That make sense?

well, if i read the description right, it says range gets bigger when inside a system with a starbase, and then gets lower when you leave the starbase areas, but the range NEVER changes, like at all, but it seems the actual range might? im kinda confused aswell, not certain how to explain it

Interesting mod! However, with the Gateways, it always made sense to me. Gateways look like they're basically containing a Black Hole, which could have a gravitational effect if within the gravity well of a star.

So I will work on an origin that has you starting with the Sub-Space Navigation and maybe the tier 2 Warp Drive. Please be patient as I'm still learning and it will take time. Also if anyone has any suggestions I'd be happy to hear them!

@Dustreaper It honestly depends. I use Real Space System Scale and the 3x sub mod and since that makes space BIG, it could be useful to have a Gate somewhere near the center of the system then on the fringes of the system. if that makes sense.

@Beast-Storm I'm not sure, It should be possible to make an origin with this tech already unlocked. Though I'm not sure what tier to give and most importantly, how to do it. I'm very new to modding and was only able to get the mod out thanks to the help of FirePrince. But I'll look into it and see what i can do :)
