When this mod is active, it has a dedicated entry in Mod Options. You can HP/Armor stats for Scary Tanks there.

@Derial_ch Ya same here just started a new play-through and found out i have to uninstall the game and reinstall because with this mod the second mission is nearly un-survivable. Kinda crap that toggling the mod and even wiping it from the mod list doesnt disable the mod.

Mod is still in effect ever after unsubbing, it's just annoying to get swamped by VTOLs and tanks that have as much health as they do. Though to give it a try but now I've made a mistake I cannot undo, dear lord, help.

(1)The YAML settings for tank and VTOL hps , if I use this mod do the YAML settings ONLY apply to vanilla tanks/Vtols ?


(2)AND all the new stuff you introduce HAS its own settings for Hps?

The Challenger is already in, and the Behemoth too. I guess their BV values make them very rare to spawn.
I don't know anything about modeling, if someone sends me tank models, I can add it to Scary Tanks, until then I'm limited to vanilla game models.

I love this mod, but I will say, I don't recommend using it in early campaign. It'll make the first couple missions in the Javelin impossible, it just doesn't have the firepower.

Ok I figured out the best way to find demolishers and manticores for cantina missions is to fight the clans. They dont have all the new tanks and instead have clan versions of vanilla tanks which counts.

Great mod but can you turn up the demolisher spawns up a bit. All these new tanks spawning is probably making them more scarce and its honestly impossible to complete the cantina mission now.

When I started seeing Brutus Heavy Tanks and Schrek Heavy Tanks it became clear to me- this is one of the corner stone mods that every modded play through of Mech Warrior 5 needs. maybe not everyone enjoys fighting dangerous tanks but those vehicles are a core part of what makes battle tech battle tech. I cant wait to see what else may get added in the future, whether it's the Deadly Dual-Guass Rifle Carnivore tank from Clan Wolf or a quite frankly spooky LRM 80 Carrier.

I'm finding that I get a crash on creating a new coop career with this mod enabled. I can get around it by disabling the mod, creating the career, re-enabling the mod and then loading into the already created career. Otherwise you just can't get through the career creation dialogue without a crash to the desktop with a UE4 error. Took ages to figure out it was this mod causing the issue so thought it was worth posting the workaround.

Unfortunately, LOM does not give more specific information, but only informs about the presence of conflicts between mods. That's all I can refer to as a user who does not have deep knowledge of modding. ¯\_('—')_/¯

Changed Tank Crush death so it turns off the collision now. Mechs wont yeet into the stratosphere when stepping on tanks now
Fixed compatibility with non-vanilla tanks (Coyote's missions), now they have HP and can be destroyed

Added ModOptions for tank crush death (default: off - tanks won't die when stepped on)
Removed Vehicle Active Probe AP (V)(ST) - only player team has target sharing so it was doing nothing for enemy teams unfortunately
Fixed tank HP display (limit to one fractional: 12.5 hp istead of 12.534)

0.9.5: Added HP Multiplier ini config (Mods/ScaryTanks_Config.ini) for HP % - 1.0 is 100%. Scales all tank components and VTOL HP accordingly.
Changed default load order to 6 so it overrides Yet Another Mechlab now.

You'll have to set scary tanks to a higher load order in its mod.json file.

the mod seems to be incompatible with the latest YAML update. no crashes, but the tanks no longer have seperate armor and structure, haven't seen any variants with different loadouts spawn either.

scorpions could use an armor nerf (only like 5-10 points), theyre way too hard to kill for how many spawn, especially with earlier mechs that have to fight them the most

they did make tanks and Vtols hit harder and survive more damage takes about 3 Medium full burst to kill a tank now Helies still go down in one shot if you can get the blades, same with vtols with the engines body shots same as tanks, about 3 blasts with medium to take down.

I have to ask if there is a way to turn down how many tanks spawn. I am effectively fighting normal battletech tanks with the absurd numbers MW5 still employs which is completely untennable with how tough they are.

Hey, awesome mod, for me it's exactly what MW5 needed. However I would to suggest if you can turn down the tanks life (only tanks, vtols and other stuff are ok) just a bit. I'm a veteran MW player and the difficult spike on mission 3 of a new campaing it's crazy. Almost breaking point.

I belive that with a little less health tanks can still be a powerfull units but give you a much needed chance to deal with them, specially when you are alone with no AI or Coop players. Cheers! And great work!

Tanks originally had one HP stat (10 for missile launchers, 30-40-ish for Manticores IIRC)
Now they do not have directional armor, but have separate Armor, Turret and Structure components with different HP pools.

MagnumGB's MercTech has directional armor for tanks.

Love the different unit types, But too damn scary for me. Makes starting a career a total nightmare. Upvoted anyway though because solid work.
