@williamldavies13 this sounds like an issue caused by another mod.
You should try to turn every mod off and see if they still act strange.

Then activate mods gradually until you find the culprit.

The flood mod is known to cause issues.

they do work fine.
please note that some mods break the giants. notably the flood controll mod. if the value is different from 0, they will break.

Try to deactivate every mods except for the giants and check if they get fixed.

i need IMPOSSIBLE survive the giants. make them so OP that even the one punch man and black hole wont be able to do anything to them, but if thats out of ur ability then that's ok

hardmode : use only vanilla shotgun or pipe bombs.

the mod is as hard as you let it to be.
i can make them completely frenetic and boost their damage to godlike level, if you want ;)

i cannot change the way voxels get broken, though. (that would be awesome)

Ok, thanks. I wasn't using better flood but I was on the oil rig map. Maybe they have a high altitude set.

@weichei there is 2 possible cause.

Either you are using a mod such as "better flood" (it will break my mod)

Or you are trying to spawn them at a high altitude.
the way they "stand up" is that their head floats at a certain altitude from the zero height of the map.
that's a limitation. i might try to look for a fix in later updates.

When spawning the giants, they just fall face first. They don't stand up correctly.

Well, they dont.
Not normally at least. You should have to severly damage their torso and/or their head to kill them.
Also, they should fall down and crawl if you destroy the legs.
And get faster if you destroy arms.

Are you sure you do not play "survive the giant"?
I based my version on this mod.

i think i meant to say that they shouldnt die from one slight hit not you dying. i think i was referring to you as the giants i dont know why

also, they "hit" once every 1.5 seconds, and never one shot you. (as long as there is only one)
if multiple people want to slightly reduce the damage output, i ll see what i can do.

you should not try to boost through them. you should shred them, then pass through.

trust me, if they do not hurt you, it is just silly.
