very sure, if that could be changed, it would already be that way in vanilla, i certainly cant change this, its beyond my abilities, this mod is just altering some values.

And in a station...

Are you Sure? Why can it not be tied to when you have good O2 and are warm, when both thoes are met, game turns Off weather shaders.

having more of an issue with the Sandstorm in Petram because in my underground base, that is airtight i still have the sandstorm and fog effects inside the base, killing the immersion .

@UnnamedUser - *Shrug* I'm not saying it's not possible to survive, I'm saying two things - one, that it was more of a pain than I wanted (which I went on for far too long about) and two, that it was bad on the Earthlike planet, so it's not, as your initial comment implied, something which MAINLY occurs on Pertam; it's a potential issue on all planets, if the RNG decides on lightning more often than you like. Which, for my preferences, it did.

Weather effects exist on all Vanilla planets with an atmosphere. I've been hit twice in a row by lightning on Alien.

I was not amused. My wife thought it was hysterical.

@stujlaird I started from the very beginning on the planet Pertam. Lightning destroyed my vehicle 3 times, but I successfully built both the base and the vehicle. Rather, it is a question of what difficulties you are ready for.

and my rover got smashed by lightning on Alien...

@UnnamedUser - I've got to disagree with you there - just after the update that added weather, I started a new save on Earthlike, and my first base got absolutely NAILED with lightning strikes - not sure whether it was an early bug or my location, but I seemed to constantly have bad weather in effect, and it was giving me a lot of lightning strikes. I want to like the weather, but the lightning makes it a real pain to set up a starter base.

Once you're on to building a proper base, with enough resources to afford decoys or antennae to protect you, it's not a big deal, but if you try to build basic bases without building a lightning defence? Expect to lose important blocks early and often. Granted, between that experience and concerns about how much strain my ageing PC was taking from extra processing, I haven't bothered turning weather on for a while, but that's my two pence.

I don't think it makes sense to rebalance the weather. Lightning, which often does damage, is mainly located on the planet Pertam. And this is one of the FEATURES of the planet
