@MrJaMan I've never even use this mod but that still happen to me recently. So I don't think this mod is the culprit.
MrJaMan 22 May, 2022 @ 12:17pm
idk if its this mod, but since i started to use it, the cars disappeared and appeared

This mod sounds like a great idea but it literally does nothing. No quantitative difference in fps with the mod on or off in my 100k+ city when moving the camera.

Tavao i dont think it does but i forgot why. Check compatibility report
Tavão ⍢ 22 Sep, 2021 @ 3:53pm
Works with first person camera?
Masaki Kimura  [author] 6 Sep, 2021 @ 2:53am
@Shadertheboi
That's a shame...
But note that, this mod doesn't touch your save data at all. So in theory, it couldn't destroy your save file.
Masaki Kimura  [author] 6 Sep, 2021 @ 2:50am
Hi,
This mod generally improves your fps even if GPU is under 100% usage although it depends on your environment.
Shadertheboi 29 Aug, 2021 @ 11:50am
This did nothing but broke my save game. No offence.
Tommyc86 24 Aug, 2021 @ 3:29am
Is the default quality for when its moving as surely it needs to be less quality when moving or there is no point. Also as you say it is not compatible with first person camera mod but if they are both enabled in content manager but i am not using first person at the time in game and using the vanilla in game does it work?
Lenskha 22 Aug, 2021 @ 2:13pm
my cheap gpu isn't at 100% usage yet I get way less frame drop when moving the camera thanks to the mod. It makes a difference on my system so probably many other as well :)
StayHungryStayFoolish 22 Aug, 2021 @ 11:45am
If your GPU is under 100% usage, you do not need this mod. I see no reason, why Biffa was advertising this.
MK-HATERS 29 Jun, 2021 @ 3:08pm
so to "sometimes" fix the issues with ULOD i have used is sometimes reopening game can fix, but even with default ULOD it has not done any fixing i like this mod and would recommend for building use or when you have a big city
Deeheks 29 Jun, 2021 @ 12:03pm
Frames indeed would be great around 2 or 3 imho
Thx!

@jimtduffy Uhmm,, I couldn't imagine a route cause for your issue at this time if camera is on land. So don't use a light weight shadow and only use a light weight LOD. The object LOD is improved from version 2.0, so you can get some FPS boost only with it.
Masaki Kimura  [author] 29 Jun, 2021 @ 1:45am
@anti-freak The original purpose of FPS threshold is to prevent switching boost mode when camera is near the ground. But it is not an essential solution and it makes it complex (for both UX and source code). So I decide to remove this feature.
Masaki Kimura  [author] 29 Jun, 2021 @ 1:35am
@Deeheks Do you mean 'seconds' or 'frames'? I imagine 5 seconds delay is too long, you almost couldn't see an original quality. If you mean a 'frames', I'll consider it for the next release.
jimtduffy 28 Jun, 2021 @ 2:33pm
Thanks, Kimura. The blinking was on land, on a map I designed with small river running though it. It was happening to buildings. Their shadow would appear, then disappear, then appear, then disappear. The river doesn't have much in the way of tides and is quite low. It was only created to allow the design of urban keys. To get an idea of the scale of the river: it is too narrow for ships or anything. There is a much larger river but it wasn't on screen, though within the squares I have open as the base square is located on it as ships travel through that bigger river.
anti-freak 28 Jun, 2021 @ 4:55am
Nice mod, but why did you remove the fps threshold? This seemed to work very nicely.
Deeheks 27 Jun, 2021 @ 5:06am
Great work on this. Any chance for more increments between 0 and 5 seconds delay?
MK-HATERS 26 Jun, 2021 @ 8:06pm
Dope also no interference with other visual appearance mods still? thats skill bruh
thank-you
Masaki Kimura  [author] 26 Jun, 2021 @ 2:03am
Hi guys!
Smooth camera 2.0 has been released. Some improvements are included in this release ( especially object LOD) You can get more FPS boost by object LOD in a lot of cases:)
Note that, once updated, your setting is return back to default, please adjust again for your environment.
Masaki Kimura  [author] 26 Jun, 2021 @ 1:56am
@Jimtduffy If you get an issue for shadow blinking when your camera is on the sea, it is due to your camera is swung by sea wave automatically. If so, I can adjust the parameter whether camera is moved or not.
Masaki Kimura  [author] 26 Jun, 2021 @ 1:44am
@CyberpamX Unfortunately, I confirmed this mod couldn't work when first camera mode is enabled.
jimtduffy 24 Jun, 2021 @ 10:22am
Has anyone else noticed a problem with the shadows appearing, disappearing, reappearing, disappearing over and over, until it got too bad and I had to leave the same?
AnotherGuy 23 Jun, 2021 @ 7:46pm
erm anyone else realise that after using this mod while recording, the video will appeared black and white blinking?
josedanielc 22 Jun, 2021 @ 3:57pm
Amazing. My 250,000 city went from 11fps to around 17fps, sometimes even 22fps!
nọngkị 22 Jun, 2021 @ 2:04pm
Hello Kimura san, does this mod conflicting with first person camera mod ?
Prolands 21 Jun, 2021 @ 11:06am
Very innovative mod. Will be looking at this one with attention. Good work.
Masaki Kimura  [author] 21 Jun, 2021 @ 1:52am
Hi Guys!
I'm now trying to improve a LOD quality and performance. If I get a good result for it, it will be included at the next release.
Lenskha 19 Jun, 2021 @ 2:12am
Great mod! once I enabled back high quality shadows, I don't even notice the switch to LOD yet the FPS are so much higher <3
Sparks 18 Jun, 2021 @ 3:13pm
Could be a great mod. I'd like to see some more options added.
And maybe an integration with ULOD, as I can't play without that mod
