Weather effects seem to apply on it even indoors, snow is showing unless thats camera radiation
master-gutym 30. juni kl. 20.16
soviets are doing good with this one, literally a full lifetime powerbeacon haha

Hello, what is a mod to make the texture of the ground on the presentation image, Thank you in advance
Ramdom 5. mars kl. 14.14
So, does this mod have compatiblity with fortification: nuclear dawn ?
Are these two seperate mods or do these two RTG can run on enriched uranium ?
Kokorocodon 19. okt. 2024 kl. 22.26
Cool how it doesn't conflict with the purpose of rimatomics since both generators work with different concepts.
Maya 7. feb. 2024 kl. 12.31
A well made RTG wouldn't emit enough radiation to be harmful, especially one running on natural uranium, there's also the fact that the only radiation that would get through an RTG would be gamma rays which are harmful in large amounts, but would be insignificant in the amounts produced by any RTG running on fuels with relatively low radioactivity
KIT_KATTEN 7. feb. 2024 kl. 5.44
hey can you make it compatible with dubs rimatomics so they produce radiation
Tilldays 11. des. 2023 kl. 17.41
Is this mod working as intended? I see the power production fluctuating constantly and I'm not sure if it's intentional.
N/A 7. des. 2023 kl. 22.02
for anyone else wondering where the uranium used to build the generator went when it's finished, add <initialFuelPercent>1</initialFuelPercent> inside <li Class="CompProperties_Refuelable"> </li> and it will start with full fuel.
N/A 24. nov. 2023 kl. 19.10
bit of a "bug" in that the RTGs require uranium to build but the fuel is set to 0 when construction finishes. easily fixed with dev mode, but i think there's an XML tag that sets the fuel to full on construction
Gerewoatle 7. juni 2023 kl. 12.34
These things are 50's technology and incredibly simple for what they are. Microelectronics is about the highest research I'd be willing to have these at.
Maya 7. juni 2023 kl. 10.29
Microelectronics is the most realistic research project for the RTG's to require
Krahe 7. juni 2023 kl. 5.25
Imho, Microelectronics seems a bit early for such good tech, but that's me nitpicking
Stwiumfever4 27. des. 2022 kl. 23.17
@Makii one year in rimworld is 60 days
Makii 23. feb. 2022 kl. 12.30
Pawns aint refueling the generators i have a crap load of uranium and even clay soldiers wont refuel it and once it goes down from 250(1 year) to 249(50+days idk) the days were significantly reduced to almost a month.
Winterbloom [✚] 16. nov. 2021 kl. 23.59
i know this is a bit of an old comment, but do people even research microeletronics without having at minimul batteries and solar? also, the smaller RTG is bassically a portable wood generator, with a harder to get resource. One of my recent runs i had only 3k uranium, but i would flood my storage with 5k+ wood every quadren from the tree farm i had.
Riggs 23. sep. 2021 kl. 4.14
@Maya, You may be right, maybe its my runs being lucky with uranium. It happened that by RTG research I already stocked up with 2000+ uranium in my last two games.
Maya 22. sep. 2021 kl. 19.36
I'd say the research tree placement is perfect since it really isnt hard to produce energy from a little bit of heat, I dont know about everyone else who uses the mod, but I often dont even have enough uranium to get one running on the map I start on, and I'd say the scarcity of uranium is what balances RTGs.
Riggs 22. sep. 2021 kl. 19.23
Its a nice mod, however I had to remove it from my play because I find it to early on a research board. I haven't even started using solar or geothermal, gas or any other types of energy generators apart from wood burners, and then I get RTG right away. For me personally it breaks a game balance. I run heavily with 200+ mods.
BigTimeGamer 21. aug. 2021 kl. 21.50
yes a rtg and not a reactor very neat thx 4 the mod also whats with mr you should play the game this way man down thear chill out mr aggressiverock its not even a multiplayer game people can play it how thay want
Glyan 14. aug. 2021 kl. 16.15
我覺得造價鋼鐵需求量和工作量可以在高個4~5倍,因為有這個價值
Generic 11. aug. 2021 kl. 9.17
oh this is pretty interesting, a stand-alone RTG. thanks a lot my man gonna try this one out
UltraEmailMan 8. aug. 2021 kl. 4.25
+1 for people not knowing what an RTG is. SMH. Rimatomics adds gigantic complex (and dangerous) reactor setups. This mod adds small stable power generation to use excess uranium on. It might not be 100% accurate to IRL RTGs, but that's because of a little thing called balance. If you want that, great, if not, take your petty pointless whining somewhere that someone gives a damn. I for one think these will be a great mid game power source and be very useful for starting off outposts.
historyaddict261915 2. aug. 2021 kl. 19.50
Rage never heard of variety.
AmSquish 1. aug. 2021 kl. 23.29
@johan.wittens these are RTGs, not fission reactors. They are in no way similar beyond using radioisotopes. The "point" of an RTG is equally dissimilar. "Vast amounts of power" are completely irrelevant. RTGs are meant for power density and reliability in a very small package.

It seems that you're whining because you can't find an energy source that's easy enough for you. Fear not! for there are plenty of power cheat mods for you, or simply quasi-cheat mods, if that's how you rationalise it.

Finally, you don't get to criticise others' work because it doesn't conform to your standards. You are endowed no say in the what other people wish to make, as they make it because they want to. They have done no wrong by not making exactly what some random twerp on the net wants, nor is your disapproval something that must be "fixed" before you grace this mod with the honor of your subscription.
Rage 1. aug. 2021 kl. 14.19
this mans never heard of rimatomics and it shows
Maya 27. juli 2021 kl. 3.39
By game standards these are rather reasonable, 750Wd for 1 day per uranium is quite reasonable or even too much in my non-expert opinion as I know thermocouples are very inefficient at generating electricity compared to most generators and natural uranium is not a good fuel for reactors or RTGs, and since Rimworld has 60 day years and 15 day seasons, if my math is correct, you're getting enough energy to run an American house for about 6 days if you place 2 of this mods RTGs and give them both 1kg of uranium assuming average energy consumption and that 1 Rimworld day is roughly 6 Earth days.
johan.wittens 26. juli 2021 kl. 17.12
These look awesome! Prettiest RTGs i've seen from a mod!

Too bad the fuel consumption is so huge and unrealistic. The whole point of a nuclear reactor is that it generates vast amounts of power with little fuel. The whole point of an RTG is that it uses a larger amount of "fuel" to start with, but that fuel lasts up to 100 years.
These reactors are neither... :(

Until this is fixed, i'll pass on these pretties.

@Kituneki It's pretty solid for it, actually. You can make smaller ships than normal using these, since they're fairly strong and compact.
Maya 8. juli 2021 kl. 5.12
I would use this, and many of AOBA's other mods if they were known to work in 1.0
Kituneki 8. juli 2021 kl. 5.08
be amusing to try this on save our ship
Autumn 7. juli 2021 kl. 15.49
@Praetorian from E B F 4 It's part of the Microelectronics tech.
🌌Wessex🌌 7. juli 2021 kl. 5.18
It's in power for me. But not research. Maybe just try dev researching technology till you see it?
PsyGuy 30. juni 2021 kl. 22.01
where is rtg i cant find it anywhere not in power not in research where is it
NihilRetnar 28. juni 2021 kl. 15.35
Oooo! Spicy!
Autumn 26. juni 2021 kl. 21.39
First of all, I'm really loving this mod. Every other nuclear mod is incredibly complicated, so something simple that looks nice is great to have. Secondly, I'm not an expert on RTGs by any means, but someone mentioned it not using moving parts. Have you considered making it use basic components if Argon's Basic Components ( https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2525478396&searchtext= ) is also in? Might be a bit awkward balance-wise, but it seems like it would fit well.
AOBA  [skaper] 25. juni 2021 kl. 17.08
okey, will have the value adjust soon.
Kaedys 25. juni 2021 kl. 10.44
So, if the stationary one consumed 240, it'd be effectively identical to 4 portable ones, taking up 4 times the space, 4 times the fuel, and generating 4 times as much power. Recommend dropping the fuel consumption to 200, which would make the stationary one exactly 20% more efficient than 4 portable ones in the same space.
Maya 24. juni 2021 kl. 21.41
Yeah, the stationary RTG needs a buff or the portable one needs a nerf just based on some quick math
Red Grail 24. juni 2021 kl. 16.01
The portable RTG is actually more efficient per unit of uranium
Portable => 60 Uranium => 750 Wd per uranium
Stationary => 250 Uranium => 720 Wd per uranium

If you're interesting in balancing it, the portable should only produce 700 Wd or the stationary should produce 3500 Wd.
AOBA  [skaper] 24. juni 2021 kl. 13.09
RTG works more like a nuclear battery (X
believor in Prawn 24. juni 2021 kl. 13.02
@torumekia This isnt a reactor, its a couple of thermocouples hooked up to a chunk of metal. AKA, a few strips of metal on a chunk of metal, not a lot of components would be needed.
Maya 24. juni 2021 kl. 7.25
Based on my (limited)knowledge of nuclear energy this mod is about as realistic as can reasonably be expected of a Rimworld mod.
Izokrym 24. juni 2021 kl. 5.03
Already done : go see Rimatomic. The guy who made this masterpiece is a f***ing genius (pretty sure he's an engineer, the mod is awesome and realistic)
But, AOBA, you done a good work, it's nice ;)
Sumatris 24. juni 2021 kl. 1.36
@ Torumekia: Unlike air conditioners, RTGs have no moving parts, so that's actually quite realistic.
TorMechia 23. juni 2021 kl. 17.05
4 components seems a bit.. low...

I'm not sure I would trust a reactor that has just barely more internal parts than an air-conditioner
LInel 23. juni 2021 kl. 8.34
I just saw the name and i was like WHY IS THERE A THERMONUCLEAR REACTOR
Hoki 23. juni 2021 kl. 4.26
@kajetsu feel free to make a mod for the entire Ur238-Pu breeding process.
BladeofSharpness 23. juni 2021 kl. 0.21
Nice, but the portable one should have a slightly worse uranium to energy ratio than the static one, like 700 Wd
