i guess i had a few more of your maps to do, i dont know which map this was inspired by but nice remake.
Andi  [author] 23 Mar, 2015 @ 2:03pm
Yes, this chamber does have multiple solutions. As I said in the description, this test was inspired by a past map. Do you remember which one it was. I like to give credit where it’s due.
Chelliste 23 Mar, 2015 @ 8:00am
I see from the video that are at least a couple different ways of solving this one. I never had the cube inside the two-button room, and I took fewer funnel rides. The final moves with the cube are similar to an unintended solution I did in a puzzle by (I think) GBMusicMaster.

The sphere room was fun to solve, even though I had to work at it awhile after I knew the answer. It's tricky catching that sphere without falling in. I forgot to look for the companion cube. :-(

Thanks for playing, I'm GLaD you liked it.
herbusmc 27 Jun, 2014 @ 10:30am
I solved it, then I looked at your video. I only took 2 funnel rides, once over and once back. But I think it still qualifies as an intended solution because I did not use any exploits. Thanks for making this great map.

Gothca, no problem.

The solution we look at is always harder than the intended one ^^
Easy and fun, I prefered the second part. Thanks

I'm GLaD you liked it, I will try to your idea. Thanks very much.
Kizzycocoa 29 Apr, 2014 @ 2:00pm
I loved this map. the idea of a pinball-like control system is something I really want to see taken to a grander scale! got a bit muddled when taking the cube back, but overall a great chamber. please do more pinball stuff! 8U
Andi  [author] 29 Apr, 2014 @ 9:44am
@Honest_Cake I changed the chamber so the player doesn't have to go back for a cube or restart.
Andi  [author] 29 Apr, 2014 @ 9:23am
@UFS That was brilliant.

@Honest_Cake If you don't want to go and get another cube then yes, you need to restart the test and it should pick up when you got the cube the first time. I may change this.
Honest_Cake 29 Apr, 2014 @ 4:43am
I completely forgot about the companion cube!

Took me quite a while to find the trigger, though... At one point I covered the second section with conversion gels, looking in every corner, but evenually I found it :)

(Sorry I keep pressing with the questions, I can be quite dumb sometimes) So, in order to respawn the cube manually, you must restart the test? (At the auto-save) Or is there a manual respawn button that I didn't notice?

Andi  [author] 27 Apr, 2014 @ 8:34pm
I'm happy to hear you all liked it. Thanks for paying.

@Traveler807 I added glass of the back wall of the cube room.

@Honest_Cake That is not a flip panel. You must find the trigger to open it but you don't have to use it to solve this puzzle. If you left the cube in the beginning part with not portalable surfaces, sorry to say this but you must go back and spawn another cube but you can't be trapped... technically speaking. I did install an autosave near the passage to the laser grid.
Honest_Cake 27 Apr, 2014 @ 7:07pm
Wow, of course, another brilliant, genius map. I have a certain soft spot in my heart for Emancipation puzzles, and this one might be one of my favorites :)

The second part of the chamber made amazing use of Conversion Gel (I can never figure out what to do with it in my tests...), and you really had to think outside the box while using the funnel to get yourself and the cube back to the start. I honestly have no idea how you come up with these tests!

Two things I want to mention: In the second part, what's the point of the flip-panel thing on the wall? Never got to use it. Also, it is possible (I believe) to trap yourself in the map. I accidently left the cube in a certain spot and the beggining-section-with-no-portal-surfaces, and had no way to get back to it. Maybe have a button to respawn the cube?

Again, wonderful map. Great difficulty, too: Made me think, but I wasn't pulling hair this time. :) Good job!
YaourtSaveur 27 Apr, 2014 @ 12:09pm
oh it's possible but we must retry the map...
YaourtSaveur 27 Apr, 2014 @ 11:47am
it's possible??
Traveler807 27 Apr, 2014 @ 4:11am
The second room is a fantastic puzzle, had me scratching my head for ages:)
You need to put some glass on the back wall of the conversion gell room, to avoid white out though.

Thumbs up, enjoyed very much

Thanks for playing, I'm GLaD you all liked it.

@Brave The funnel is there in case you overshoot the button.

@Parano.Oya Wow, that has never happened when I made this chamber and I tested it almost a 100 times if not more.
NerdByDaylight 26 Apr, 2014 @ 5:18am
Awesome map! :D There is an epic fail ^^

By the way, when the cube is unreachable for you and you missed something, there is no way to respawn the cube, so you have to restart the map (or die)... Could you implement a button, which recreates a new cube, if it's necessary?
Brave 25 Apr, 2014 @ 10:10pm
Fun map, this is how I solved!

Not sure why there was two tractor beams, 1 on the ceiling and the other on the wall at the entrance cause I never use the tractor beam on the ceiling, but other than that it was fun.
