You know, the mod Paint My Ride has a code implementation for its in-game items that might work for your mod here. You should check it out and see if you can adapt it to work for this mod.

Even when I manually set the spawn rates of it to 0.000000001 its still spawning too often (sometimes, 2 notes on the same zombie). Can I change this to be lower and feel more rare?

Would it be possible to make the notes usable for some purposes? E.g. as fire kindling / fuel?

Ah by the way, sorry to bother, But I think my phone autocorrected and resulted in some stupid spelling mistakes on my note. I'm too lazy to find everything rn, but yeah

Okay, how has no one mentioned the cipher notes yet? I've been trying for a while now to just figure out what cipher it is, much less trying to crack it. Can anyone give me some hints?

I like playing my games with items set to abundant. If you like playing this way, the notes will be plentiful. I changed the spawn rate within the mod so I only get a note every once in a while. To make it a realistic find when set to abundant, the spawn rate I set every note to is 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001 within the file AzasNotesDistributions.lua

Im the one who added the Number one and it's inspired by one of my runs on wich i took socks from zombies and counted them on notes ending up with hundreds of them

So you'll want to manipulate the lua distributions file.

Which file and how to manipulate the file to control the spawn rates manually? I like to play with sandbox settings set to all things spawn in abundance. With that setting, almost every zombie has a note if not more. I just want to change the settings for myself so I can realistically play with your mod enabled.

I read previous comments that you made and I don't quite understand. I am very new at understanding the files information once I open them. Can you point to specific lines in the right file(s) that are the lines I should change?

Hey, great mod so far! Really adds to the immersion in a simple and easy to use way. I still think the notes might spawn a little too often though. I usually find half a dozen after killing a small group of zombies and often they'll have 2 notes on them.

Erryone -- There's now 84 notes, and I changed up the distributions -- please also check the Credits page in the mod discussions

Alright, I changed the distrubtion from 0.5 to 0.1 so the notes will be slightly more rare -- additionally I'll be adding more to the pool soon so stay tuned

Aster, to make a mod like this you require a couple things.

1. png Images that are correctly sized in the /ui/LootableMaps folder
2. Item scripts that look like this

3. To get them to spawn on zombies, you then need to import into the distributions file with your own lua file in /media/lua/server/Items

Mr flux -- I tried but it makes the map not readable if I dont use the map icon.

My name- eventually. Kinda burnt out right now but ill add more later.

Dunning-- right now its set to something like 0.5 per note. I could lower that to 0.1 or 0.05 or something and make them more rare.

Good job with this, really cool having the community all pitching in.

Only concern is the spawn rate, currently finding a note on every second zombie, some guys even have more than one, so after killing a couple dozen zombies I was already finding duplicates.
