Just want to raise one weird thing I noticed. The vanilla dustcoat has 80% protection from acid and burning, and yet the biosteel dustcoat has 70%. Is it meant to be lower than the vanilla ^_^'?? Cos i thot by logic from your descriptions, the skin spiders not really fearing the acid. I can understand if its not completely 100% but for it to be lower than the original dustcoat is weird. Still loving your mod and I just resorted to wearing hats to compensate the remaining protection but just wanted to say its weird how its lower than the vanilla dustcoat

I created a mass error-free patch/dummy mod between several Hiver mods which adds Praetorians and Queens to Hiver clades that did not previously have them (either through the original mod or a patch). Cute Hive is a main dependency along with Mogwai Hive Overhaul, Hives Expanded, General Modifications, & Southern Hive Queen and Fog Queen.

It is also configurable to work seamlessly with Princess of Cute Hive and Princess of Cute Hive EXPAND. Radiant Biosteel Silk Armors is among the supported armour mods, which have been given unique female armour meshes where both mesh and mesh female had the same referenced mesh.

The vanilla balancing tweaks are entirely unwelcome. Why why WHY do Kenshi mod authors decide to include changes to the basegame for their mod that otherwise barely touches the basegame?? Please put that in a separate mod!

For those wondering where to find the cocoons, you find them on skin spiders, most easily found in arach .

I can’t find the cocoon, please help 🥲

Any chance we could get an addon that adds recopies that we need to buy for all the clothing?

Hi. Made 2 researches, build two workstations. Why there is no samurai plate sets in the crafting list? Other medium and light armours are present. I missed something?
Hunter24692 17 Aug, 2023 @ 12:42am
where is the research located so i can craft it or is it available from the start
正义的伙伴 7 Aug, 2023 @ 12:52am

ANGEL-1-N/A 4 Aug, 2023 @ 11:24pm
why not sell the materials and armours in shops? and u even didn't let us know how to get them. i don't know why should i keep this mod in my list
FTLSquirrel 1 Aug, 2023 @ 9:35pm
i know that you dont like no cut efficiency but many of us do. do you think that you can make a patch for it? either way great mod and thank you for making it.
the greater good 28 May, 2023 @ 3:07pm
Great mod! The farming of the ingredients is very rewarding and the armors are of high quality and have a nice look.I think I've rarely been in this area to farm materials as much as I have before.
Deadeye_7 4 May, 2023 @ 7:46pm
This is great, makes armors that i like that are lower tier end game capable. I already know that this is compatible with GenMod, but is there a way to make bio steel variants of the show hair hats there? Thanks for making this btw adding MANY more hours to my runs.
Mythomaniac Gremlin 15 Jan, 2023 @ 3:01am
Apologies if this was written somewhere, can these armours be dyed?
jaymcflurry69 3 Aug, 2022 @ 12:37am
Love this mod as it expands armor greatly but beware, quite OP compared to original counterpart
bagelhe 7 Jul, 2022 @ 5:48am
this is a really nice mod!
DevineDumbass 13 Feb, 2022 @ 11:55pm
Do you have any plans of making a biosteel silk version of the swordsmans rags mod? Would be fairly cool to see all those wrappings as biosteel silk. Thanks again for all the amazing work man
ShoVok 10 Feb, 2022 @ 2:05pm
Looks Awesome Ill add it to my mod it til it breaks run... If I dont break it lol

Shiroho, I am sorry to hear that people suck. I remeber the golden days of modding Bethesda's games, when the community didn't take for granted what was freely given to them. Know that you are appreciated, and that it is the stupidest who "reeee" the loudest...
NiGhTWoLF 29 Oct, 2021 @ 8:08pm
I'm already playing in a save, I would like to know what I need to do to add this mod to my world without starting over!?
sostomato 15 Oct, 2021 @ 6:26am
@Shirohô Your creation is a refreshing change to the mod scene. So I made a mod where a character that uses robot limbs can wear the shoes from your mod. Can I upload it & link to your mod? Thank you.
Niska24 16 Sep, 2021 @ 12:48pm
@Mr. LostMan there is not currently but good idea, container for the cocoons would be nicely convenient!
MisterLostMan 18 Aug, 2021 @ 9:31pm
Is there a container for the cocoons?
keyboard warior 18 Aug, 2021 @ 12:07pm
Could you add a shop that sells these armours ?
WallySquid93 13 Aug, 2021 @ 9:27am
Will we be getting a Crab Armor version? Stats don't have to be different I just love your textures, they are amazing.
Shiroho  [author] 1 Aug, 2021 @ 9:51am
@WallySquid93 you are perfectly right. I will try to make a patch or update the mod core when i come back from holidays. Anyone can probably do it in my spot i will allow that, but i might do a patch of my own when i come back at some point. Thanks for the info mate.
Shiroho  [author] 1 Aug, 2021 @ 9:49am
I am going on holidays from the 02/08 to the 14/08. Until then i will be unactive on steam and won't be able to answer you, create, update mod or fix anything you find. Brace yourself, be patient and try to have a good time (i hope there is no big deal left behind though). See ya around and take care my mod subscribers !
Shiroho  [author] 1 Aug, 2021 @ 9:39am
@AMN Not issue if it's just a patch. You have my green light mate.
WallySquid93 27 Jul, 2021 @ 11:09am
Noticed the Biosteel Hiver Vest doesn't work with your other Primordial Hiver Mod. I am specifically using the Prince if that info is needed.
AMN 14 Jul, 2021 @ 8:49pm
Can I make a Chinese language patch for your mod? It will set this mod as requirement.
Stardust 14 Jul, 2021 @ 8:51am

Shiroho  [author] 11 Jul, 2021 @ 12:00pm
@mrmistophelees Yeah that's frustrating, they had a nice idea but they didn't plan it well enough. I am aware this multiple layer issue is unfair, can't really think of a solution for it sadly. Thing is for the patch ... it would be even more sweating and time consuming for me to do a patch than remove all the efficiencies and let the other mod do the rest of work. You know i can't really give much time for it (since i have more stuff inc) and it would be simplier from my pov. u damn right it's confusing and fun ! Sometimes i am in a mood to play with some mods, sometimes another array, sometimes closer to vanilla. That's just us milking a good game to its bones haha
mrmistophelees 11 Jul, 2021 @ 10:03am
As I looked through the "no cut efficiency" mod again, I noticed there is a discussion where one user points out that from a survival standpoint, the original implementation of cut efficiency works better, although from a realistic standpoint, it's weird. So I think I'm going to remove the "no cut efficiency" mod from my game and play with the vanilla system, as your mod does.
Isn't modding both confusing and fun? ;)
mrmistophelees 11 Jul, 2021 @ 9:53am
In fact, I can see your point as well that by removing cutting efficiency your fights could be easier, which I wouldn't like either, because I like my Kenshi hard and cruel. As I understand the mod "no cutting efficiency" though, the modder didn't just remove cutting efficiency, but adjusted the mechanics of how damage is dealt so that it is more realistic, or just makes more sense from a defense perspective.

Personally, I don't think you need to take out cutting efficiency from the base Radiant Biosteel Silk Armor mod, but perhaps it wouldn't be difficult to make a patch that anyone who is using "no cutting efficiency" would be able to install together with both mods so that they are consistent. More like a "compatibility patch." Anyway, I love your mod and I'll find that armor eventually! =D
mrmistophelees 11 Jul, 2021 @ 9:53am
@Kimu Thanks for the thoughtful response to my suggestion earlier. In fact, I love the idea of cutting efficiency, but as I understand it from the mod, the devs didn't implement it correctly for multiple layers of clothes, such that wearing less armor means you actually deal with damage better. Less armor = better defense? That doesn't seem right. I think when taking only one layer of defense into consideration, the cutting efficiency works perfectly. But when wearing clothes that cover multiple parts of your body (in other words, there are layers, like when your jacket covers your stomach, and your pants do too) you actually get less defense even though you're covering yourself better. So that was my thought on the whole matter.

Shiroho  [author] 11 Jul, 2021 @ 8:27am
@Jin Hmm ...
keyboard warior 10 Jul, 2021 @ 8:47am
Will look at it again, great mod.
Shiroho  [author] 10 Jul, 2021 @ 7:44am
@keyboard warior There is not blueprints needed, but i think you missed something. Look at the research bench again ^^ Also, sorry for now all the biosteel silk armours list is kinda messy, i still don't know how to sort that ... i will probably changer later for alphabetic name order.
keyboard warior 10 Jul, 2021 @ 7:23am
I can't craft the biosteel silk dustcoat at the biosteel leather crafting station, all the other light armours show up and i have used the dustcoat blueprints, is this intended ?
RedRockRun 8 Jul, 2021 @ 2:34am
Nice! I guess I'll have to pick this up and grab some new fashion!:etgconvict:
Shiroho  [author] 7 Jul, 2021 @ 6:49am
@Gatling96 Thanks : ) It should be compatible for adding all of my armors and let all the vanilla stuff not being glitchy or bugged. But, there are buts : My armors won't be affected by the cutting efficiency erasing. And depending of the load order, my few vanilla change (check the first changenote for the exact list) might reach very few pieces that you would expect being taking care with this or other mods. Trick is to change load order so my data values will be the lesser priority (so that you gain only my exclusive armors). Since it's been asked, i might plan to do a no cutting efficiency version when i ll have the time. Working a lot on the custom faces for now but i ll get back on this one soon. Also read few comments before my stance on cutting efficiency if you were just curious why it's not here.
Gatling96 7 Jul, 2021 @ 4:34am
Hi there. Thank you for this amazing mod. I would give it a try in my future playthroughs :)

P.S. Just to ask some dumb question - is this mod compitable with "No Cutting Efficiency" mods for vanilla clothing ?

Best regards :)
EuchreJack 6 Jul, 2021 @ 2:00pm
Er, what posts? I see no spoiler posts... :steammocking:
If I really wanted to know the lazy way, I'd crack open the mod and look inside.
But I'm liking the exploration method (with cheat starts) a bit better.
Shiroho  [author] 6 Jul, 2021 @ 12:00pm
@mrmistopheless I already entirely read the mod you linked to me a while ago, even several times since i found the subject interresting and also tested it out myself. My fights were suddenly much easier and i didn't really like that. But, don't worry much, i get why people agree with this mod, this is far from being dumb. So im not sure what to do here, may be another separate version of my mod with all cut efficiency gone probably. I will cast some thoughts about it ofc, in meanwhile can you give me your pov on why you disagree with cutting efficiency ? (i different reason that the mod ofc)
Shiroho  [author] 6 Jul, 2021 @ 11:59am
@mrmistopheless Hi ! Thanks for the cheering mate. About the cutting efficiency i am kinda aware of it existence and the debates on it, but so far i don't have much to say against it and you must know there are also a good amount of people like me that are not against it (mainly jp players apparently). Call me mad or something but i kinda understand what the studio tried to make with it. In a reaslitic logic, it's interresting to say a "soft" material can convert cutting dmg to blunt from a cutt hit, that's what kinda happen when you recieve a big hit on a mail or a leather part.
mrmistophelees 6 Jul, 2021 @ 11:04am
Holy spicy potatoes! I liked your facebook page and it's clear from your work that texturing a gritty game like Kenshi is totally your style. These are sweet looking textures and armors. The fact that you didn't replace the vanilla textures is a bummer, but then again, now I'm highly motivated to go look for the materials to make these myself.

One thing I'd like to mention: you mention cutting efficiency, but I'm not sure if you knew that the cutting efficiency system is broken in vanilla. A talented modder noticed that and made a mod that deals with the problem. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1805638933
Called "No Cut Efficiency." The reason I mention it is because I think you could easily alter your own armor in the same way so that it doesn't suffer the same problem the vanillas do.

Awesome work!
