tengo un problema y no se a que se debe, en la ventana de investigacion no me aparece la receta de absolutamente nada relacionado con el mod, y no estoy seguro si requiero investigar algo aparte o cual es el problema

@Pheromone you got to:
- go to the steam workshop files in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\233860 which is the kenshi file
-find out which file is the mod youre looking for then copy and paste it into your kenshi mods folder -then rename it to exactly as its called wen you go to the addons tab when you launch the game launcher
-then it should appear in the forgotten construction set have it enable then you can edit the mod :beeped:

Nice mod, to all those confused. Magazines are for the full auto versions, bullets are for the bolt action ones. The full auto version needs at least one magazine in your inventory to fire even if its loaded, just a legalism thing in the game.

yeh the game doesn't handle magazines very well. although one is a pipe bolt action (which is todd howard had any sense would of been single shot) and one is the magazine drum, which eh, could be any old amount.
what's a better way to handle automatic or magazine/fast firing guns is to just have those with fast firing use a single round per shot but fire quickly. although then they never have to reload, as long as they have bullets, they can keep firing, so, given kenshi's crappy AI which tends to waste so much ammo if set to ranged and attack enemy, they'll just waste hundreds of bullets on a rock.

regarding the research, look, this hole mod is jank and broke and needs revision. i haven't even had a chance to reinstall kenshi to revise anything atm tho sorry.

Is it just me or are the magazine ammo's just one single shot? It says 1/1 shot, and it fires one shot and they it is gone. On the other hand the individual bullets have 50 rounds in them.

but this mod was just a request, i don't know what else would be wanted.

i don't really intent on doing any costumes cos rigging them takes forever (whereas making weapons takes no rigging)

but i did think, also maybe? laser gun, and ''laser musket''?
5 shot hunting rifle? some melee weapons??
pipe revolver naturally is something i already started a model of recently.
combat rifle? plasma gun? gamma gun? lol.

Fido you figure out a verdict on the magazines? i haven't had time to look. an alternative option is to have them use an ammo per shot, via setting reload speed to basically instant. i tried that out in experiments, it works, and would be a good method to deal with revolvers or 5-shot bolt-action rifles..but it also means people just keeeep shooting.

Skrzat you got any idea on what you'd want to see, besides a better skin? these things take time which i have to commit.
i was thinking of adding: stick mag alternative plugin, to override drum mag, for those who don't like them.
better skin is in the works.

hmm. not sure man! i was pretty sure that even after a crossbow is stowed, if it was loaded then it stays loaded (maybe not between saves). ill do more testing.

The one I was using was the Masterwork from the previous screenshot on the mod, the 2x6 stockless magazined pipe gun.

livedilla does that make sense? if you only want the guns for you and your team, and to learn and make them yourself, just use this mod. avoid the other mod.

Fido is that if they're 1 block wide and less than 8 long? yeh i found out when messing with muskets a month or so ago. my blokes would sometimes spawn with 2 muskets on their back, and not use either properly. that's why i recommend crossbows/guns always be at least 2x6. if they're 2x5, unless you move the crossbow over one block in the large weapon slot, they won't even shoot them.

I was wondering if I need just this mod, or the other one you linked here, I do not wish the store s to be selling pipe guns nor find them on enemies.
But buying the recipe and crafting them myself is what I want to accomplish.

Whenever I reload a magazine rifle, it eats the magazine from my inventory, aims, then stows the weapon as if it's empty with the magazine erased from existence.

I tell you what tho - i am considering making a version which every pipe gun is using those fat boy cylinder suppressors from FO4 that you get on pipe pistols, if anyone remembers those specifically. cos then the lack of gun Piw Piw noise wouldnt be a problem.
And cover the reason for everyone having a suppressor by saying "in the lore" that everyone theoretically Always uses these suppressors cos to fire a Pipe Gun in Kenshi, without using a fat boy suppressor, is to invite interest from hostile parties and beakthings and bone dogs, for miles, you know.. and plus they look like they're made out of common old engine parts or something.

i also might make a 20 stick version. 50 is way op. but shrugs it's pretty fun. and funny. and man... with them spawning in npc hands, its kind of really made the world a fair bit more dangerous and hardcore.

man there is no way to change the noises on ANY gun mod for kenshi.

we as kenshi modders have 4 choices, by default, in the editor, making custom crossbows related to its ''sound'' lol. only 2 of those noises even seem to make a noise (crossbow and turret).

there's no way to implement the noises.
for about a year now people were looking into making custom noises for kenshi guns. and no luck, sorry. it is outside the power of the creation kit and the sounds themselves nobody has figured out a way to override them out of the archives, as far as i know.. and believe me i've done my fair share of research on making custom crossbow sounds, and no luck at all.
